Sticky, itchy, stinging, awful!
Would you like the sensation of applying hand sanitizer your burned skin? If so, you'll love this product!According to this page online, the ingredients are mostly water and glycerine with a little bit of Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice. However, my product purchased in stores 1 week prior to the posting of this review contains mainly water + glycerine with Aloe Barbadensis Leaf POWDER. Yes, it felt as awful as it sounds. So please note that this product list may vary from its online description.I hated this product. It was the opposite of soothing. It dried to my burned shoulders/back so badly and didn't sink in at all. When I shrugged or tried to move, I could feel the top layer of my skin prickling as the aloe layer cracked. This burned horribly, like it was drying out my skin even worse.Additionally, this Aloe product never sunk in or ceased being sticky. I've used 100% aloe, and this product is awful compared to real Aloe. It stuck to my sheets and clothes and hair. Nothing was more painful than trying to remove a shirt that had fused to my back and shoulders, except for maybe waking up and trying to unfuse from my blankets/sheets after the aloe attached them to my burned skin overnight.Another review mentioned the alcohol content of this product - yep, I could SMELL the alcohol evaporating as the aloe gel dried to a crusty painful layer on my skin. It also made the product sting a little as I was applying it.Clearly, I would never recommend this product to anyone with a sunburn.
