Q: I’ve seen this phone in the Pixar movie toy story 3, just wondering if it’ll come to life and move when I’m not around? I don’t want it scaring my kid

No...this is a toy and Toy Story is a fictional movie. It cannot and will not come to life.

Q: Is this the classic phone as pictured, or an updated version?

Sort of. Its much smaller then the original and the cord linking the receiver to the phone is way too short. It was impossible for my kids to play with it from a sitting or standing position. I had to cut the cord off for them to use it properly.

Q: What are the small parts that makes this hazardous?

The string-choking hazard, although I think it might have been shortened.The eyes could possibly be pried out, a wheel could b come loose.In my experience, this toy is very sturdy and can withstand lot of abuse.

Q: Does the pull string have the plastic wrap at the end

yes, you can get something else to tight it on . this toy as original as it was 45 yrs ago and have not change , it is good and durable toy my granddaughter drag it everywhere
