Best cooler yet
So far, so good. This is my 3rd brand/style of laptop cooler in 3 years. I live in a warm climate so I need to use it daily at least 8 months out of the year. This one is less heavy and bulky than my last two, but still fits my laptop just fine. This is a real plus for me because I literally use my laptop on my lap (I think some people who design these don't think about this). The fans are fully encased, so no problems actually using this on your lap, however, if I try to move my laptop and the cooler together using only one hand, I will invariably cause one of the fans to rub on the casing because I have to grip too hard. This is completely my fault - I should really use two hands every time.My last two coolers had to be replaced because the USB receiver (where you plug the cord into the cooling device) became spotty - like there was a short or it didn't have good contact unless you held it in a certain way. The funny thing is that this happened with 2 different brands, so it's definitely a problem. That's what particularly attracted me to this cooler - it's designed with the connection in a recessed slot on the underside of the cooler where it doesn't stick out at all and won't get bumped or removed. I'm pretty sure this is going to solve the problem I had with the last two. Also, it has a piggy-back style connection to the plug that goes into your computer so if you have a laptop with only one USB port, you don't lose it by plugging this in. Very slick!Overall, I'd also say this cooler is quieter than my last two were as well. It's gotten a little louder since I first purchased it, but still, sometimes, I have to look for the blue light to tell if it is on. It does, however, still keep my laptop cool enough that I am not worried about it overheating and it's not burning my leg or becoming uncomfortable to have on my lap. I am very happy with this purchase.UPDATE: June 2017 - My cooler was still going strong until one of my dogs knocked my laptop off of it from a 30" off the ground and it was still attached to the cooler. This made one of the wire connections under the cooler break. Fortunately, it was still available at Amazon and I didn't hesitate to purchase another with next day delivery. It's still the best price and best designed cooler I've owned.

Too Loud
This was a cheap plastic mess. Fans were good and showed good speed but too much noise. Will create havoc in a quite room. Returned but I think mine was a lemon. Never gave it a second chance.

it did keep my laptop cool. Noisier than I expected from others reviews
When I first set it up one fan wasn't working. I tapped it and it started to work. I just barely got it yesterday so I haven't had time to test it long range. But for the three hours I did use it, it did keep my laptop cool. Noisier than I expected from others reviews, but I guess if you're gaming the sound of the game covers the sound of the fan. Overall so far it's a good product and lightweight.

Does it's Job, not much else.
You get what you pay for with this product. It does it's job of keeping the laptop cool however in order to run the fans you have to plug it in to your computer meaning while you are protecting your hard drive from overheating, you are using extra battery power to do it. The fans are nice and quiet but you cannot control the speed of the fan like I had originally thought. It would be nice if this product relied on its own power or could be plugged into an outlet itself instead of taking the power from my laptop since the battery is the first thing to usually go in old laptops I wish this didn't make me trade overheat protection for battery life. The LED lights aren't really needed as they don't add or take away from the cooling pad's ability to cool the computer. It's just using extra power that could be going to my laptop.

Defective Fan
I recieved this product defective. One of the fans wouldn't run unless the unit was tapped, then would make incessant clicking noises, even after I checked to make sure nothing was directly touching the fan. Sending back as a return. Gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because it does at least look nice and if both fans worked I'm sure it would work well.

A great product for a great price
I love this cooling pad. It is well worth the price. I was having some overheating issues with my laptop, and at the suggestion of a friend I did some research to find a good cooling system. This one had not only a great price, but good reviews. I have definitely had positive results from the pad. It works immediately, is very quiet, and having it powered by a USB is a great addition. I highly recommend this cooling pad.

Laptop Cooling Pad
This product works really well and is definitely helping to keep my laptop from overheating! I like how it runs using a USB cord, so you don't need to plug it in, which is convenient for traveling. It's also nice with the kickstand legs so you can use it on any surface. It's also comfortable to use on your lap and it has a ridge on the front and the surface of the cooling pad prevents your laptop from sliding around on it. Would definitely recommend to anyone concerned about their laptop being too hot or overheating.

Do Not Buy
The media could not be loaded. PRO: I purchased this for my 13" MacBook Pro Retina and I have to say it fits just right for it. I also like the addition of blue LED's and the overall minimalist design.CON: The second I plugged it in the fan on the right side would not even turn as it appeared to be stuck on the wires that were powering it. I tilted the assembly a bit and the fan began to turn, however it was now making a grinding noise that is completely unacceptable for my office environment. Also, I would prefer if the USB cable were a bit longer as I would like to power this device from a source other than the laptop that is resting on top of it and the cord is only maybe 12" at maximum.
