This product comes as if it has been opened before. The first one I got I asked for an exchange thinking it had been opened because the box was ripped open and didn’t have a seal on it. Then I got the second box which was also ripped open a bit and the product was packaged the same way so I think it just comes like that. It’s all the product just thrown in a bag which is then put in the box. The wax, oil and Shea butter don’t have a seal on it. There would be no way to tell if this has been tampered with.

My 7-year old daughter loved this set! She's always wanted to make her own lip balm and It's hard to buy these ingredients in small amounts but this set solves that. I like that it's not laden with chemicals too. She enjoyed making each one and was able to do many of the steps herself. It does require some adult help and some coordination from the child. We found the finished product to be quite soft following the recipe, even with adding the suggested extra bees wax (we live in Hawaii, so it's hot and ingredients stay soft). Keeping these in the fridge helps. Highly recommended and we plan to try other sets of DIY kits.

My granddaughter was so excited to make these. I love that they are organic so I don’t have to worry about what’s getting in her mouth. My disappointment came when we realized there was not enough drops for the flavoring. The bottles are very tiny. We put less drops in them than was required and she probably will only be able to make three out of I believe there were six tubes in the box. I contacted the company but unfortunately they’re located in Canada and to ship more bottles to me would be too costly. That was very disappointing for my granddaughter.

I bought several craft kits to keep my kids busy this summer. This was by far their favorite. My 4 and 8 year old were able to make these under the supervision of their 15 year old cousin. All 3 loved it. The color combinations are really endless through mixing. 2 scents were included, but no one was a fan of the Jasmine smell. There was plenty of the tropical scent (a pleasant coconut smell) to use on all the soaps. My kids experimented with adding small toys and flower petals to the soaps. They loved the results.

I'm an adult. I bought this kit in order to get glycerin melt-and-pour soap in small manageable units to add to a whipped soap base from a different source. The soap in this kit worked very well for that purpose. Then I used the colorants and molds with a shampoo melt-and-pour base and lavender essential oil from different sources to make shampoo bars. The colorants were full of sparklies (not obvious from their bar form) and gave an iridescent sheen to the finished product. Now I'm going to look for the adult kits (Earthy Good is their brand, according to the printed materials) in this range!
