Mrs. Stewart's Liquid Bluing

Wow wow. Old product is the best. Simple to pop your whites, and bright colors. Will stain if not careful hands or countertop! 5 stars. Less expensive than other solutions being marketed.

This has been around d forever because it works. Great for keeping white laundry crisp white and even works on hair! Great science project for kids growing liquid crystals at home. Very easy to use. Dilute Mrs Stewart’s concentrated liquid bluing and add to white laundry in rinse water. If you’re colorful and adventurous try it on hair…but also start with dilution. The size seems small until you realize the powerful concentration of this product is…then you realize how truly large this size is plus it’s a great value for the money.

I was unsure how to shampoo with liquid bluing but I was sick of the yellowish cast in my grey hair so I glopped a bunch on. It was a bit of an overshoot. My husband's jaw dropped when I walked in with my cobalt colored hairdo. Plus, I had to do the grocery shopping that day. Believe it or not, I got compliments! Blue hair isn't that strange, it seems, lol. Now I add the bluing to my hair conditioner which is "leave-in" and it gives needed balance to the yellowing.

Bought this because I have some dingy white towels that needed brightening and it totally worked! I remember it from many years ago and can’t believe they still sell it.. a little goes a long way tho

Not enough results for the effort to use.

One of the most frustrating things about being the laundry doer for our house is the white work shirts. No matter what you do, they end up dingy and gray. I've tried bleach, soaking them for hours in hot water and Oxiclean, hanging them in the sun, and even having a friend two hours away who swore she could whiten them take them. None of it worked as well as Mrs. Stewart's Liquid Bluing. Things to keep in mind: A little goes a long way. Err on the side of caution and use less than you think you might need at first. You absolutely need to add it diluted. If you dump the bluing right into the washer, you're going to find blue dots on your clothes even if it doesn't seem like you're touching them when you pour it in. It can take time to build up and see the results. My third wash with the bluing is really when the difference between the control shirts and the bluing shirts started to shine. It's inexpensive, effective, and easy to use. Definitely worth a try!

Mrs. Stewart’s Liquid Bluing doesn’t just make your clothes white—it makes them blindingly white. We're talking so white that if you step into a dark room, it's suddenly like you’re standing on the surface of the sun. Forget needing a flashlight—just throw on one of your freshly laundered t-shirts and boom, instant daylight. Honestly, this stuff should come with a warning label: “May cause temporary blindness or make you the human equivalent of a lighthouse." You’ll be so bright, planes might start using you for navigation. Vampires, beware. Mrs. Stewart’s Liquid Bluing is basically the holy water of laundry products. One wash, and your clothes will be whiter than the cast of a Hallmark Christmas movie. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to walk around glowing like a celestial being, then congratulations, you’ve found your secret weapon. Just be careful you don’t accidentally blind your neighbors.

My grandma turned me on to this, and it definitely makes the whites GLOW. I thought, Wow, what a small bottle! This stuff must be expensive! But you know how much it takes for a large load of laundry? ONE QUARTER of a TEASPOON! It's the best value on the planet. If you get some, you won't be sorry.

Plan to use for brining herring strips. Supposed to work well for brightening the scales. Will know soon if my wife doesn’t use it all first
