Beautyrest Black Calista Extra Firm Mattress, Queen

This mattress is a thousand times better than what I have been sleeping on. It is firm but not like sleeping on a slab. It is comfortable. My partner doesn't wake me when he gets out of bed or rolls over. My Fitbit has hit my sleep time every single night I have had this mattress (going to bed and waking at the same times) indicating that I am not as restless during the night. I would recommend this mattress. On a side note, I tried this mattress out in a store before ordering it online.Update: Unfortunately the mattress has either broken springs or something on one side. When lying on the bed you roll off it unless you hang on. I have tried to contact Amazon and the seller. Amazon responded with their usual canned response that I need to keep original packaging and such without giving me the warranty. I have had the mattress for almost a year. Why in the world would I keep original packaging? I am still waiting on the seller to respond.NEVER BUY ANYTHING THAT HAS A MANUFACTURER WARRANTY FROM AMAZON. THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THE PRODUCT AND THE MANUFACTURER KEEPS DIRECTING YOU BACK TO THE SELLER TO START A CLAIM. AMAZON WILL NOT WORK WITH YOU. I AM OUT THE MONEY BECAUSE I PURHCASED THIS MATTRESS FROM AMAZON.Seller did get back to me. Because I live many states away, they would not stand behind their product. I was told that they would give me half off a new mattress. Then the seller told me they would call me back but never did. Buyer beware!

I was a little hesitant purchasing a mattress though amazon but I am very happy. Shipping took a week and a half but the mattress was build specially for me from the factory, so that was cool. I originally tried an amerisleep foam mattress but I woke every night with back pain. I tried this bed out first in raymour and flannigan to be sure I would like it. I absolutely love it. Very firm, takes a couple nights to get used to but if you need a supportive mattress and dont want your back to sink in, this is the bed for you. I will never buy another foam mattress. if you want support springs are the way to go, and with a 10 year warranty, cannot beat it.

Firm, seems to last a bit longer than other mattresses, I've had it 3 years and it's as good as new. That said, no mattresses last as long as they say. I'm about 180lb, I imagine for a heavier person or a couple, this would significantly change the longevity. I prefer a very firm mattress and use a topper on it which I can change more frequently and less expensively.

If you aren't a picky sleeper, then please ignore this review. Else, there is a slight sag in the middle of the mattress after sleeping on it for over a year. The mattress isnt able to protect and support your lumbar, it's really very disappointing.

Even though I didn't purchase this at Amazon, I feel the need to add a review. The mattress is just a little over a year old and I'm about to purchase something new to replace it. Sleeping is impossible because the bed has multiple spots that have sunken - try finding a firm, flat area is now impossible. I read the warranty card and apparently this is considered normal wear and tear - how is this normal? I did consider contacting Beautyrest but I really don't want to go thru the hassle and even if they agreed to provide a new bed, I assume the same thing will happen a year from now. I'll eat the cost and shop for something else.

We purchased the raved, exquisite Black Beauty Calista extra firm mattress from Sears and after only 2 years we are pricing new mattresses. The expensive Black Beauty, we thought we'd be sleeping perfectly for years but it's all hype! This mattress is wavier than the ocean and is giving us back and hip problems. It is very uncomfortable. I thought I was getting what I paid for. Never Again!

I don't understand the bad reviews, other than maybe an issue purchasing online? I purchased this mattress in the Queen size from a furniture store and immediately regretted every cheap mattress I'd ever settled for. No more aches and pains, I hop right out of bed in the morning. I am overweight and sleep alone so I do rotate it religiously to avoid dips. I've been sleeping on it for just shy of two years now, and I'm still singing its praises to anyone who will listen, and I definitely still recommend to all my friends if I hear them complaining about their mattress or talking about shopping for a new one. I bought my 16yo daughter a new mattress, an expensive S-brand mattress, at the same time I purchased this one, and she chose a cushy plush model that feels like you're laying in a cloud. She comes to lay in my bed all the time and complains that mine is so much more comfortable than hers. I would tend to agree:) It's perfect; soft and forgiving yet still firm enough to support my bad back. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I bought a Calista Cali King from a Ortho Mattress dealer two years ago. The bed is in bad shape with areas of the mattress sunken-in 4-5 inches. Me and wife cannot take it anymore and now looking for new a mattress. Terrible quality!
