The pad is thick, doesn’t bunch up, stays in place and helps with reducing noise.

So, I didn’t realize how well these were working until I was getting ready to box it up to send it back. At first I didn't think they were working. They work great at trapping the acoustic sounds that are in my high vaulted apartment. Other than that I’m not sure if it’s doing a great job at why I actually purchased them which may or may not be what they are actually intended to do so I can’t fault them for that if that’s not the case. I bought these because I wanted to use them as an under the rug type of function to cancel the sound of my boisterous children running back and forth as I live on the third floor and I do not want to disturb my neighbors with my children’s constant childrening. I haven’t had any more complaints from downstairs since I’ve had them, but that may be a fluke. I’m honestly not sure if it’s working for that. However, it’s definitely absorbing the acoustic sounds and other noises. I noticed immediately how loud and my living room got (I was on my phone and it was absorbing all of the noise) once I put them back in the box to return them. As soon as I noticed that I put these things right back on my floor lol. I'm going keep them.

Unfortunately they don’t seem to help the reason I ordered them, but I am not using them under a rug, so it was a hopeful purchase anyway. I would not recommend them to be used to help with noise from apartment below.

As you can see from the photos I attached, they leave bumps and rubber behind when you eventually pull them up. What's worse is they leave indents in your wood finish. I have air conditioning and it never gets unreasonably hot in here. Apparently though if it gets too hot though (which is lower than you think) you end up with a mess. I spent hours on my hands and knees with a bunch of different products, sand paper, and steel wool partially getting this stuff of. I'll need to take another go at it and then re-poly the floor to get it back. Not worth the semi-sound protection. At all. Do not purchase.

It was the perfect size and thickness for my bathroom floor!

Used them on hardwood floors. They didn’t work very well. They slipped a lot.

We used to to put underneath the areas on the carpet where our cat likes to jump. We don’t want our neighbors to complain so this helps in muffling the sound. The pads stay in place and works well with the carpet.

These are not 12x12", they are 11 3/4x11 3/4". These will not work in my space as I needed actual 12x12. They might have worked ok, I didn't bother trying them as they were not the correct dimensions as advertised.
