Love this and on my 4th or 5th reorder!
Surprised at so many low ratings but I’m guessing those are from folks expecting a Twizzler like flavor. Twizzler is NOT really licorice! If you’ve had it in Belgium or the Netherlands, this is the real and wonderful thing. Bulow is another great authentic licorice but a little different flavor profile. If you love real licorice, my bet is you’ll love this!

Great Flavor!!
The minute these arrived, I busted the package open. This is a great brand of licorice! If you're looking for a soft licorice, this is not the one. This brand of licorice has a good texture, not exactly chewy, but they're not all the way hard either.

This is the nastiest tasting licorice ever.
I love black licorice and have had a lot of different brands and flavors and textures. I thought this would be a treat. Gag. I opened the bag to an odd smell. I couldn't place it. Grabbed a piece but it was two stuck together - no biggie - popped both in my mouth and kneaded them with my teeth. At first the taste was okay - not really licorice like I expected but a kind of funny smelling/tasting licorice chocolate maybe. Then I got to the "middle" of the coins. Gag. It smells/tastes like urine. Like an overused cat's litter box. I kept going hoping for it to get better - nope - gets worse towards the middle. Spit both of them out - found some of my old licorice stash and ate a piece to make sure I was tasting correctly - no problem. This candy has a hint of the odor of urine when opening the bag, a hint that turns into full on pee smell as the candy dissolves in your mouth. This stuff is horrible - would not recommend.

My Favorite Salty Black Licorice!
I have tried multiple salty black licorice brands. This is my favorite! Just the right amount of salt and the perfect texture.

Should have taste tested
I’ve never had salted black licorice before so I wanted to try it. Being a black licorice fan I thought I would love these, but I was wrong. You get the black licorice taste, but because it’s salted you also get that flavor, and I just could not stomach it. The candy itself was really hard and difficult to chew, though that didn’t bother me so much. I was surprised by how large the bag was and how much product came in the bag… though that also made me sad because I knew after the first piece the bag was going to waste. The candy was good quality, packaged well, and came quickly…. But it wasn’t worth the cost to me, personally. I recommend buying a smaller bag or going somewhere you can taste test before purchasing, just in case you end up not liking the candy.

Good taste and better licorice
Good licorice favor with a hint of salt. This was as described. Not the same as Aussie or American licorice…better.

Ehhh! Too salty and way different than American!
I love licorice but this tasted completely different lol, to me a slight licorice taste and an extremely salty taste. It’s not enjoyable! But quality seemed well! I know not to buy Dutch licorice again.
