Amazing for price, but you get what you pay for
Right out of the box the product is really good. It has a very nice tone on the low notes, however the high notes are okay. For me the lowest two notes did not work because of sealing issues, but but that doesn't really affect your playing if you're playing it sheet music. It's also an easy fix. Overtime, the quality of the saxophone degrades pretty fast. An issue that I recently had was the octave key on the neck would not close after playing a high note, which intern would make whatever you play after that come out really bad until you press the octave key again. The case is nice, however the backpack barely works. Once you get it on you can't get it off and it's probably the most uncomfortable thing I've ever worn. It includes reeds, and the reeds are good, but they don't last long. Amazing value for the money, an amazing for beginners, however don't get this if you're looking for a long-term instrument.

Beautiful tone
This was a warehouse deal that I couldn't resist. I ordered a black one but I got a brass/gold one. It's alright, it looks very pretty. The horn appeared to be brand new. It was unplayable though, lot's of air leaks. I stuck a light down it and adjusted 5 or 6 pads to fix the leaks. The pads were super sticky too. I cleaned them with a q tip and put some 400 grit sandpaper facing the tone holes- held down the pads and pulled the paper out several times- no more sticky pads. If you had to pay someone to do this it wouldn't have been a bargain. I'm very happy with now, it plays in tune and has a beautiful deep tone. Using the stock mouthpiece with rico 2 reeds, sounds so good.5/11/22 Really loving the horn still, I upgraded the mouthpiece to a Gigliotti spectrum from ebay, man it really gives me that great tenor growl. Also using a Legere american cut 1.75 synthetic reed, sounds really good with this mouthpiece.

Great horn for the price
I last played Saxophone 48 years ago, when I made it to All-State on Tenor. Then I discovered motorcycles and girls and the sax got put away. Recently decided to try it again, just for fun but didn't want to all in on an expensive top of the line model so I tried this one after reading other reviews. It did not disappoint. It arrived well packaged, sooner than promised, has a decent case and worked perfectly right away with no issues with stuck pads, loose springs or sticky keys. Found out I had totally forgotten how to read music but that came back with some study. I also found I don't have the "wind" I had as a teenager either! While it took a while to get a decent tone, that was because of me, not the instrument. Starting to get the hang of it again, I am very happy with this Sax. I got the one with black lacquer, and I think it looks awesome. As I progress, I am sure I might want another mouthpiece but I can't think of anything else it might need. Rather than spend a lot of money on something like a Selmer, a beginner or returnee like myself would be better off to get this horn and PRACTICE. I highly recommend this instrument and am having fun with it. Although, my parrot does not share my enjoyment of relearning saxophone.

For the money....I am very surprised!
The two music rental places in town wanted a ridiculous amount up front for instruments in so-so condition. I didn't want to sink tons of cash into something not certain my son even would be in love with playing it, so I bought this thinking if it could get us through two years of middle school band, I"d have gotten my money's worth. My son's band teacher freaked out when he told her we ordered it on Amazon--but when he got it and took it out of the the case and played a note, she was shocked at how it was better than the other student's rental tenor. He takes private lessons now and his teacher has only said he needs a better mouthpiece....so this instrument is doing its job. I think if you don't want to get wrapped up in the music store rental scheme, this is a great option.

Very nice
I recently started playing sax again in my 60’s. This sax is an awesome horn to start back on. Beautiful horn, nice rich sound with my old jazz mouth piece. I’m looking forward to putting in the hours of playing. I would recommend this horn to any fellow Veteran who wants to get back into playing or wants to start playing sax.

It's a really excellent horn for the price
Really solid tenor. I am a band director and I bought this as a personal horn. Sounds really good. G sharp key sticks a little but once you play it a bit/ or warm up it un sticks itself. I would recommend getting a Yamaha 4c mouthpiece for it. My pads seal well. It is over all a really good horn. I would recomend.
