Good quality product
Worked perfectly out of the box. Easy to use with existing Optimate product cable. Great. I can now keep my mobile devices charged when out on my motorcycle.

Works well, I run a usb cable under my bike tank frame and just disconnect when not in use. Bit pricey for what it is

It works perfectly
I bought another type and that almost fried my phone and made it restart all the time.This one is perfect. I am using it regularly for short and long trips too.My phone has not restarted ever since. Does not matter if there is a surge or change in voltage, like starting the bike. It is just working.

Excellent Charger.
Very simple to install although I had to locate the charger under the tank as the USB lead out from the charger was too short to allow fitting under the seat. The cable tie points make it very easy to secure the charger and USB socket. I ran a test on it and it does switch off after 1 hour as described.

BEWARE. It will discharge your battery charger!
BEWARE. Misleading when it says will not discharge your battery. It will if you leave it connected for a while without running the engine or connecting a battery charger. On my small motorcycle battery it discharged it to 1.5V in three weeks of inactivity.

Cool features and invaluable in getting power to your usb devices
Perfect to charge things under the bike seat when riding or off the bike, keeping whatever is connected locked and out of sight. The auto shut off is good so you don't drain your battery in the process once the bike is stationary. The addition of the battery health monitor is another cool feature. All round, worth the money.

Very well made
I am glad optimate has these and other gadgets to for the optimate lead.. Very handy and looks and feels well made a bit chunky too.I bought a cigarette style female socket but a few times the male section tends to wiggle loose disconnecting the power as the inside is to smooth nothing to grip the metal springs... I have bought this and a female socket for a tyre pump.If the optimate lead is attached might as well put it to some use with these things instead of just sitting there until the battery needs a boost.Supposed to shut off after a very short while to save your battery power until you re-start the bike.
