I made the mistake going with another brand of door handle for half the price prior to making this purchase which didn’t even come with half the quality of this door handle here. After going through the hassle of uninstalling the old one, installing the new one, just to have to uninstall the discovered broken new one and reinstalling the old one, I vowed to not cheap out and opt for a quality set. Enter the Schlage! Immediately upon unboxing I could feel the heft and quality of the handle components in my hand. Installation was smooth and easy. Unlike the previous handle set that would jam upon being turned with the bolt remaining stuck out (a horrible fire hazard!!), the Schlage handle set has flawless and smooth bolt action when being turned! Not to mention is just looks nice too! I highly recommend Schlage for those wanting a premium door handle set for their home!

Exceptional food handle and lock system.

I have this particular handle on 2 different property doors and I really love the clean lines & modern look. I installed the handle at 1 property and it has worked well for 2 years & continues to do so. I bought the latest handle as a replacement to the same door handle at a different property because the mechanism stopped working in the older door handle. Since I don't know how old it is, I can't speak to durability, however the fact that the mechanism failed at all indicates that it may not be the most durable. The price was good though,I love the look & it's easy to install.

Very sturdy and easy to install

We bought this to match our new Schlage electronic lock that we bought for our new front door. It is perfect, we are very happy with it and it complements our door well. We considered others but when we’ve used cheaper ones in the past we always had issues. This is well made, looks fantastic and it should serve us well for as long as we have this door. Honestly doing it right the first time is far preferable even if we spent a bit more. We love it.

I am pleased with the purchase. I dropped a star as I had to replace the previous 8 year old handleset because a spring had broken. Thats understandable, but the spring should be replaceable. The handleset works well - the dimensions are slightly different, but it fitted without a hitch. I am especially pleased the metal did not show wear even after 8 years, and the quality of this seems equivalent. It coordinates with the Schlage deadbolt and smartlock.
