I had some post surgical complications that caused me significant pain and cramping in my legs. My sister turned me on to these ice packs and they were a godsend. The material inside the pads gets cold and stays cold, but doesn't freeze and stays pliable. One side is covered in a soft material and the other side is bare plastic. The shape of the pad and the straps would be ideal for lower back pain. I used the pad to cover my sacral area, downward across my buttock and down my affected leg by laying on it. I put one in the freezer to chill while I use the other. I haven't used one for a heating pad yet, but you can heat them in the microwave if you watch how long you heat it and don't overheat it. I found these to be extremely helpful and recommend them for use.

I’ve been using a bag of peas for all my gym-related ailments, the most-recent of which is my ankle. The peas were constantly sliding off. I wanted an ice pack that was flexible & would stay in place. This ice pack fits the bill. Of course, it doesn’t quite mold to the skin as well as a bag of peas, but it’s close enough. I wrapped it around my ankle & it stayed in place. It’s very cold. It stays cold for at least 20 minutes, which is the longest I’ll keep ice on me. The soft side is very nice, but the pack is cold enough that sometimes I still need cloth between my skin & the ice pack.

This ice wrap stays around your waist so you can move around without holding onto it or repositioning. The small beads stay cold for 20-30 minutes, which is about the amount of time doctors tell you to ice. I use it for low back and also thoracic area of spine by draping it “bandolero “ style. It is soft and molds to your body. Keep it in your freezer if you ice often. I have not used it for heat.

This is perfect. It doesn't freeze hard it stays soft. I love mine so much I got one for my daughter too.

No matter how long I left it in the freezer it didn't stay cold long. I got about 5 minutes of coldness out of it. For the money I paid I wish I could return it and get a refund.

Easy to use. Takes a minute to heat in the microwave. Very comfortable.
