Great item, more durable than expected, fun to assemble, works just fine. Great craft item, painting it makes it better looking, we stained ours.

What a fun project. The finish product is lovely. 14 year old really enjoyed building this.

I bought this for my.son. It is beautiful and he had a good experience putting it together ( he is 31). However the gears do stick a little and he has to nudge it to get it to completely rotate around. He loves it and displays it.

I bought this for my 44 year old son who enjoys jigsaw puzzles and so I thought he might like building something a little different. I had previously given him one of the wooden marble maze puzzles too. This music box was smaller than I expected so really looked like it was probably hard to complete and he did say it required a lot of care to build and not break the wood parts. But the finished product is just beautiful ... very intricate looking and works beautifully! His 12 year old son was so proud of it and came running out to show me what his dad had made!

This 3D puzzle offers an enjoyable challenge for any adroit adult or gifted teen. However, some of the multiple-multiple parts are somewhat fragile and must be removed from the parts sheet with *extreme* care. I modeling knife of the Xacto type is highly recommended. That being said, the finished product is a wonder of complexity and functionality.

Beautiful and fun to put together.

This was actually easy to assemble and build. Some pieces were very weak and broke during assembly but they give you extra pieces in case that happens. (This doesn’t apply to EVERY piece so still be careful!) directions were easy to read but I would still review the steps before actually Doing it because I spent a solid 15 min trying to disassemble a piece because the placement measurement wasn’t correct. Finished it in one sitting and it turned out beautiful! Only con I have is the waxing…. It gets messy and breaks off so def lay something down before doing it HOWEVER!! Do not skimp on this part. It is very important and thoroughly wax the wooden pieces that says you need to wax. You won’t regret it

Delicate music maker. Some parts were easy to break but mostly all parts made it.

This was such a delightful experience for my grandson! As he started putting it together, he was completely immersed in the process. The pieces fit together really well, and it was satisfying to see it gradually take shape. The instructions were pretty straightforward, which made it easy to follow along. It wasn't overly complicated, but there were enough challenges to keep it interesting — just the right balance! Once he finished the puzzle and cranked the handle, the music that played was just charming. It really adds a lovely touch to his space. I could totally see this being an awesome gift for anyone who enjoys hands-on projects, whether it’s for a birthday, Children’s Day, or even Christmas. Overall, I'd highly recommend the Music Box if you're looking for a relaxing and rewarding way to spend some time. It's not only a fun project but also a beautiful piece to display after ward. I might even pick up another one in a different design for my other granddson!

Beautiful and fun gift for kids.

I really enjoyed assembling this music box. It took longer than anticipated, but it was kind of therapeutic. I tried getting my son (6) to help, but the pieces were a bit too delicate to allow him to handle much of the assembly process. Now that it is built, it functions as expected, but when turning the dial to play the music, it feels as though it would break if not held in the correct position, and done so very gingerly. For such a delicate piece, one would think the crank for playing the music would be manufactured to turn very easily so as to not put undue stress on the unit, but it is actually quite stiff and difficult to turn.

Like any craft it was a little fiddly at times to make, but I got it all put together and it looks so cute! I like how it moves, plus it plays "Memory" from Cats, which I love!
