Vansky TV Backlight Kit - Bias Lighting LED Strip Lights for 30-55 Inch TVs, Desktop PCs - USB Powered With RF Remote - Reduces Eye Strain, Increases Image Clarity

The strip of LED light worked great for bias lighting behind my LED tv. It came with double-side tape on the back of the strip, but there's another roll of tape included just in case. While it has many colors, dim/fade/flashing patterns, what I used is the simple steady white.As a note for other Sony Bravia owners, my Sony Bravia tv's USB ports are wonky. It will power the strip, but when the TV set is turned off, the power to the USB port stays on for 15-20 minutes and then it shuts off. Then every so often, it would power on the USB port again for a few minutes and turn itself off. Because of that, the LED light strip will intermittently power on. To prevent that, I have to manually turn off the LED strip by pressing and holding the middle button when I'm done watching TV. It's fine for me since my TV is easily accessible, but I can see this being a problem for people who can't access the light strip behind their TV. It's no fault of the LED light strip, but rather how Sony Bravia TV manages its USB port power.

The media could not be loaded. I wanted to add a little more light and color to my desk area so I got these to mount on the back of my monitor. They came with an extra roll of adhesive tape, but I didn't need it as the adhesive backing on the strip itself seems more than sufficient. This strip was long enough to go around 3 sides of my 24" Widescreen monitor. You have to do a little finagling and folding at the corners but it worked fine. The corners naturally stick up a bit but you'll never see it behind the monitor. Bright (just right, in my opinion, and even at the brightest is not TOO bright) and colorful. You can select one of 7 preset colors or put in in various color shifting modes.Now, most of the modes are useless, in my opinion, as I can't imagine why anyone would want jarring, flashing lights behind their monitor, but I ended up using the mode that slowly and gently shifts through the colors. You can also set the speed of the modes, and I went with the slowest.My only real complaint, which is very minor, is that there is no documentation anywhere that I could find. They are simple enough to operate, but I would have liked to see a list of the modes rather and clicking through them all one by one trying to figure out what each one was.Instead of plugging into the USB port on my monitor, I plugged into a USB adapter a couple of feet away so that I could turn them on or off using Alexa and a smart plug. There's not a lot of length to reach an outlet though so be prepared to either have an outlet within a couple of feet or have an extension cable of some kind (either electrical or a USB extension).Overall, I'm totally happy with them!

I like the Concept and the Idea of the LED lights, they put out a good amount of light, and the color spectrum is good. However the big problem is that it just will not stick to my TV. A few days after I put it on, I noticed that one side of the light was lower than it had been before. I looked behind the TV to see that half of it had fallen off. So I put some clear packing tape on it and put it back up. A few days later it fell down again. I don't know if it is the glue (3M) and my TV's plastic, the heat that the TV puts out or some combination of the two, but the strip will just not stay up. Prob would not purchase for other TV's. If they fix the glue problem would like to try it again.05/14/2016 Update:I was contacted by a representative at Vansky, they apologized for the negative experience that I had. They said that the problem with the unit not sticking properly was due to a manufacturing defect. They have sent me a new unit and I am currently in the process of testing it out. Will update in about a week.05/25/2016 UpdateWell it has been a little more than a week and I am happy to say that the Light strip has not fallen off yet. Updated the Review and raised it by 2 stars. Try it out everybody.

The product is nice looking and works well.Pros:I like the little config selector switch built into the strip.The many colors and patterns offer many choicesCons:It is far to short, in my mind 34 inches would be good for my 55" tv but in reality it only goes around a small area of the center of the mounting bracket.If I try to get it to go around closer to the edge of my tv it only goes about half way around.In order to get good color intensity protruding from the edge you need it closer to the edge of the TV so is a big wah wah....In closing, this maybe a good strip for a 25 Inch TV or something very small. Others reviewed this say it works great on 55" tv but when I see their images it is not a uniform color density projecting from the back of their tv. I want it to look the same density from all sides of the tv.

Well, Well Worth The price of 13 bucks. Took less than two minutes to install in the back of television.If your product is longer than the width of your television,you will have to cut it along the white line, very important. Also, due to my television configuration, it was installed about three inches from the top.Once installed, you can plug the USB power line to the TV, so when you power up the TV, the light strip automatically goes on.The enclosed remote can change the color of the power strip.When it is On, the picture sharpness and color intensity seems to increase.Msybe due to optical illusion, but my 1080p television screen display seems to double in quality.Buy it. With this low price, you can't go wrong.
