It Really Works!
I foiled my hair for years, but bleach (and age) were taking it's toll. I stopped foiling and went to a medium ash blonde "all-over" hair color. I had hoped this would color my grays (making them look like highlights) but leave my natural color. All it did was make my hair a dull, drab reddish blonde. I hated the color, but hated damaged hair even more. So far, I'm really glad I found this product. Avigal Henna Hazel colors my virgin hair golden (especially the grays) but did "red up" my color-treated hair which I am actively trying to grow out. I haven't used chemical color for about 3 months now. Ordinarily, within 4 weeks of coloring, I'm chomping at the bit to cover the gray roots but try to hold off as long as possible to minimize damage. I've been using Avigal Henna every 3 weeks and don't have to worry about damaging my hair at all, in fact it seems healthier and shinier after each treatment. I wish Amazon would allow us to post pictures rather than video. I do have photo results of my 2nd & 3rd treatment of Avigal Hazel posted at fitradiance.blogspot.com. I plan on adding more pictures there to show the progress of transitioning to "chemical free" hair color. I know everyone's hair is different, but so far I am very pleased how Avigal Henna Hazel works on my hair. Love this stuff, it's addicting!!!

With caveat -Pulls red on some hair
I figured this had cassia, a small amount of red henna and indigo. It clearly does have henna, as it pulled red on my (formerly strawberry blonde) now dishwater blonde hair, even though I left it on only an hour as per instructions. In future, so as not to waste this, I will be adding blue manic panic, and I will order the 'Natural' next time (cassia) and add my own indigo to cut the brass.I am disappointed, as one of the blondes on the Long Hair Forum said it eliminated the red in hers from using Champagne Blonde.Be aware of this if your hair pulls red. It's not a bad product; I just have finicky hair.

There are no ingredients listed on the package of Avigal ...
There are no ingredients listed on the package of Avigal Henna besides saying it is 100% henna. It is impossible for all of the offered shades to be 100% henna. This is illegal according to the FDA website : "Cosmetics that are sold on a retail basis to consumers must have their ingredients listed on the label. Without such an ingredient declaration, they are considered misbranded and are illegal in interstate commerce. FDA requires the ingredient declaration under the authority of the Fair Packaging and Labeling Act (FPLA)."Moreover, this company "Avigal Henna" does not seem to actually exist. The website and phone numbers listed on the instructions are wrong.

Perfect for gray hair
I had been using the color Champagne on my hair for about a year. I loved the feeling it left, and it turned the few strands of gray a light blondish so that was good, but it would make my hair a little more red than I liked for a couple of weeks. I was using the henna once a month by this time. Then I read a review on the Hazel color. It says Ash Blonde on the chart. I had my doubts but I decided to give it a try. I loved it! It looks totally natural now and I don't feel like people will notice when I henna my hair because it looks too red for a while. I usually add about a quarter cup of olive oil to my mixture, then lather up twice after treatment. This Henna is the best thing that ever happened to my hair! No more $150 beauty salon treatments for me.

Like the product
Like the product, but smells like inorganic non henna products were added, shipping time is awful, and product came damaged.

WILL NOT REORDER HENNA FROM AMAZON
I will not order Avigal henna fromn Amazon again because now your only supplier is Organic Colors. My last two orders for Natural and Hazel arrived with broken seals and green powder which sifted throughout the entire package. It was evidently tampered with. It would have been possible to return without repackaging, so have taken the $50+ loss. Previous orders allowed several other suppliers. I just reordered directly from Ball Beauty Supply, which you used to carry.

The Best Henna on the Market
There are many henna powders available and it can be difficult to make the right choice. Sometimes, it is trial and error, and with one's hair, results need to be consistent rather than unexpected. After many years of use, Avigail henna seems to be the best one all around. Color is as described: the Ash Blonde will cover most grey hair, last about a month, look natural and not damage hair or scalp. Non- irritating. For darker shades, it comes in different colors, and all of them can be mixed to fit individual needs. Henna is not a dye and requires a little patient to master the technique of application. However, this can be done quite easily, especially with short and medium length hair. A winner.
