Great WiFi Extender – Easy Setup and Reliable
I’ve been using the ScreenBeam WCB6200Q WiFi extender for two years now, and it’s still going strong! Setup was quick and easy, and it boosted my WiFi signal immediately. It provides a strong, reliable connection even in areas that used to have weak signals. It’s perfect for streaming, gaming, and browsing. I’ve had no issues with it over the years, and it’s been a great investment. Highly recommend it!

Frontier Fios Installed using the Frontier Gateway G1100 Router
UPDATE: If you bought WCB6200Q one of the first things you should do after the WPS step is to update your firmware from 1.1.10.20 to the latest 1.1.10.20a.t. Search "WCB6200Q Firmware Upgrade" and you will find the instructions and file to update your extender. Also one thing I forgot to mention was to make sure you check your incoming splitter that is outside located after your fios box. You need to change it out to a MOCA-Compliant splitter from the regular one for this to work. Can confirm the "The Holland Electronics" splitter with the blue label works wellReview:Was using cheap plugin wifi extenders to fill in dead areas around my house. Was always resetting these plugin extenders because they kept disconnecting so I looked for a better solution and found the Actiontec Wifi Extender WCB6200Q. Some of the things I was looking for was a consistent reliable wired connection, Ethernet capable, easy setup/plug and play situation and lastly an extender that would be totally compatible with Frontier FiosEasy SetupSuper easy using the instructions that came with the box. First plugged the new extender into my G1100 router using an Ethernet cable then plugged the extender into my computer using another Ethernet cable then plugged in the power cord. I then waited till the extender light turned green on top..at that point I pressed the WPS green light on the extender for 10 seconds till it turned red and started blinking then i pressed the WPS button on the G1100 router for 3 seconds and started blinking. In less than 10 seconds the extender found my router and connected. Another thing the WPS process does is change the extenders name and password to match the routers name and password but adds and "ext" on the end of the name to differentiate it. Finally after getting setup I updated the firmware which can be found on the actiontec website.ResultsI now have a solid wifi extender that is reliable and bulletproof that works in the dead areas of my house. WIFI speeds are almost consistent with my wired speeds. 50/50 but the thing I like most is I haven't had to reset anything. Everythings working as it should out the box and I dont have to deal those terrible cheap wifi extenders anymore. In the boxWifi ExtenderPower adapterBonded Moca Splitter6ft Ethernet cable3ft Coax CableInstructions

Discontinued for a reason
As far as I can tell, this product is officially discontinued. It seems to work pretty well out of the box on its own, but any network device connected through some other means (i.e. another MOCA device) will face repeated connection problems throughout the day.The configuration page for the device could only be ascertained by downloading non-standard software that lists every device on your home network by MAC address (the device's MAC address in my case did not actually line up with what was on the sticker by a couple digits). Regardless, the configuration options that some reviews here and other webpages all mention, which could be used to address the connection drops, may not actually exist, and there are no websites that I could find with firmware update packages for this specific device. If you have more than one room with a need for a stable high-speed Internet connection, do not buy this.

Product works great but you may run into trouble if you are using a ECB6250 (See below)
The WCB6200Q Moca2.0 Extender is NOT officially compatible with ECB6250 Bonded Moca2.5 Ethernet adapters. But there's some tweaks to make it work, proceed at your own risk.If you run into these problems you may not need to return this yet if you know your way around things. So first off I run ActionTec / Screenbeam products at our home. There's a very specific reason for this and its because Mesh Networking and Running Ethernet in this home would be very difficult and expensive to play around with to get good results. Using these Moca networking adapters has been a god send. The hardware you get is solid stuff runs great.ActionTec / Screen Beams documentation is just really lacking in key areas tbh.The basics are all there but the basics do not always give you the tools you need to troubleshoot. I had to dig for this information. If you are entry level into IT or networking then this product should be plug and play with the older Action Tec MOCA 2.0 adapters, which you need MOCA networking over COAX for this to work of course. For the Tech Literate or Curious:If you are not getting a Coax connection established to your WiFi Extender you should find the following information a godsend. To access the GUI of the WCB6200Q you need to connect an Ethernet cable to the device and your PC.Set a static address on your PC to 192.168.44.1. The admin login info and IP to enter the GUI is printed on your WiFi extender. If you are trying to use these with the newer ECB6250 adapters you MUST make specific changes in the web admin GUI for the ECB6250 adapter. If you do not do this the COAX connection light (second light from the top) will never turn on, you will never get a connection to these adapters. To do this you need to enter the GUI on the ECB6250. Connect your adapter to your PC with a network cable, it can not be connected to the Coax.Set a static IP on your computer to 192.168.44.1ECB6250 Admin GuiIP 192.168.144.200User: adminPass: actiontecYou need to check off only D-Band LOW for the scan list for MOCA configuration.Save the settings and reboot the adapter. When you turn on the WCB6200Q allow a some time for the unit to fully boot and a Coax connection should establish within a few minutes. This basically forces the unit to talk on MOCA 2.0, from what I gathered online this allows the COAX connection to establish to the WCB6200Q.The reason all of this incompatibility is happening is because the Broadcom chipset used on this WiFi extender product does not play nice with the new chip sets being used. Broadcom stopped development with MOCA for now.PS please do not forget to get your self a MOCA point of entry filter for your main cable line off the street if you have not done so yet :)Your WelcomeProduct is amazing though its running great for me, documentation is very lacking they can do better I think.
