Great when walking your dog.
I am a senior and my dog is a pit bull mix with bulldog and great dane genes. Needless to say he weighs 78 pounds and is pure muscle. This does not hurt your dog but if he pulls when he is on a leash this lets him know not to when you are walking together. I use this only when training and walking my dog Lou or we are out in public. I just give the leash a little tug and tell him not to pull and he quits pulling. Sometime Lou does forget and I just pull up on the leash and he gets a gentle nudge not to pull me. This collar looks good with the cover on it. I did take off the plastic tips on the prongs when first training and after he gets trained better I will place them back on. This does have a lock tab and is quick release once the tab is unlocked. 5 stars plus

Works
I think these types of collars are last resort. They’re very dangerous. I suggest not walking your dog the first day with it. Walk the dog around the house, because otherwise the dog will get stressed, and pull even harder trying to take it off. It did help, but I also use a no pull harness to relieve pressure from the neck. Definite life saver, but as an absolute last line. Use responsibility, and I’m sure there’s a YouTube video about using it safely.

Good for beginner dogs
I bought this to use for my dog who is bad about pulling me on walks and it helps so much. He pulls way less and makes walks so much more enjoyable.

Life Saver
Our energetic 25lbs. puppy is not a disciplined walker and constantly pulled and yanked during her walks. After using this No Pull Collar, it’s been a game changer! She’s improved tremendously and pulls much less. My elderly mother has especially found this collar to be a life saver for her, because our puppy pulls much less and possibly prevent an injury to my mother!

Great for strong pullers
My dog is a puller. It is very difficult to walk him without him pulling me forward the entire time. This definitely cuts down on pulling. It doesn’t eliminate it completely but it’s much better and he’s more manageable. I don’t consider that a product flaw. My dog is just really excitable on walks. :)

Puppy is now a "Good Boy!"
My Sweet dogs are a pain in the butt on walks..... I don't like choke collars..... these are game changers. Don't pull just gently let them lunge.... they will be acting like trained experts before the walk is over!

You need this!
We have an American Bulldog and he's still a puppy so he's learning but he's very big. My kids and wife couldn't take him outside because he would pull them wherever he wanted to go so we needed something. We got this collar and within a day his pulling stopped. It's a dramatic difference and will absolutely recommend this product to anyone that has had the same problem. ALSO if you're wired about the little prongs they're not bad at all. They are blunt not sharp and they come with little covers for them.

Great collar for a big dog, if you like being dragged through a thorny hedgerow!
When I first opened the package, I appreciated the look of the collar. The metal buckle seems strong and has a nice smooth "snap" when it goes together. I also liked that you can wrap the collar around and snap together rather than just go over the dog's head. What I don't like...it doesn't work. It's not a choker. It's not a pinch collar. It looks like one, but it provides no corrective feedback to a dog, which put us both in a dangerous situation when he could not feel my feedback. This is trash. I'm throwing it out. I won't even donate it to a charity. Someone could get hurt! I regularly use a pinch or training collar with my 90-pound Doberman. He walks well on leash, but he's so strong that he doesn't really notice a regular choke chain correction. He needs that little pinch to alert him that he's pulling. With a regular pinch collar, I can literally hold onto the leash with two fingers. The first time walking my Dobie with this new pinch collar I noticed that he was pulling way more than normal. I gave a couple of tug corrections, but it was like he didn't even feel it. At first, I thought he was just overexcited as we didn't walk the day before and that he'd calm down after a few blocks. However, I quickly realized that the collar doesn't pull tight like a choke chain. Halfway through our 2-mile walk, I had to stop and remove all the rubber covers from the "spikes." That didn't change anything. It was basically like I was trying to walk him with a regular collar (no choker). At mile 1.5 I felt like a water skier having to walk in a strange squat form just to have enough leverage to give a correction. My doofy Dobie didn't even feel it. Our whole walk he was walking happily in his own world thinking everything was fine. Funny enough, he walks very well off-leash. I can walk him without a lead at all and he'll stay shoulder to hip with me. I would have been better off without it at all. This collar somehow prompted him to pull. I was tempted to just take the collar off and walk him with the leash wrapped on his neck like a temporary lead at the vet! I probably should have done so because about 20 feet later--disaster in the form of a chittering squirrel. My dog started after the squirrel and headless to my "leave it" command or tugs on the leash I quickly got rope burn as the leash flew through my hands, and my dog went into a thorny hedgerow that blocks off access to a citrus grove. When I was face to face with a load of thorns, I had to let go of the leash. Then I spent the next 10 minutes trying to coax my dog back through the hedgerow in an opening I thought he could fit through. He's not a perfect dog. He's not a working dog. He's a regular pet that knows basic commands and a few tricks. One of his flaws is that he has a blind, craze-inducing passion for chasing squirrels. He quickly realized that he was trapped in the citrus grove and was frantically trying to find his way back through the hedgerow. I had to find a hole large enough for him to see my hand and then drag him by his front paws through the hole. We were both scratched by the thorns, but all in all, it could have been much worse. This collar is garbage. With my regular pinch collar, he might have pulled a bit and barked in an embarrassing fit, but he wouldn't have gotten away from me. He would have performed his little act right next to me. I would have given him a slight tug on the leash with a correction and a command to sit and the squirrel craze would have ended. This dumb collar will not help you control a large dog, and if you think it will, you could be injured, your dog could be injured, or even worse someone else could be injured. Don't buy it.

Not good.
I purchased this and a herm Sprenger both. Based on the reviews of this product, I thought would try it also. The sprenger is significantly better and well worth the price. This one will never be used by me on my dogs. Even though this product has a cover it does not look good on the dog - sticks out too far on neck due to shape of prongs- unless your dog has a very long/thick coat it will look odd. Also the sprenger distributes the prong force on dogs neck very well (search YouTube why this is important) - this one does not and I will not use it on my dogs out of risk hurting them. It’s also extremely difficult to adjust for size and not good quality. I tried to do a return and didn’t get response from seller. My opinion - Pay more for a sprenger - it’s well worth the extra $. I try to only leave positive feedback on purchases but here the positive reviews I read was misleading for me.

Blue Heeler pulling fixed in one walk.
Wow! Always thought these collars were cruel. Do your research and watch videos. I have tried flat collar and two types of martingale collars and my Heeler was still pulling badly. Even on a slip lead he would choke himself. After some corrective turns and stops, he is paying more attention and I can finally loose leash walk.Awesome product, but learn how to properly fit and use.

Best collar ever
We have tried many different collars to stop my dog from pulling when walking on the leash. Nothing worked, not even same type different brand. Until we tried this one, it really works, very sturdy and durable. The links don't come undone during the walk like the other ones. The prongs are not harmful they are round on the tips, they just bother and the dog won't pull, he'll walk on your pace.

Good not great.
Large and sturdy collar but isn’t as effective as a martingale style prong collar. Rubber covers do not stay on the prongs. Most have fallen off already. Fortunately the prongs themselves are well shaped and not sharp. Easy to put on and take off, which is a plus. It has inspired me to work harder on my leash work, so an inadvertent benefit.

The rubber guards are great and provide extra value
Our big guy just wouldn't listen in certain... high stimulus situations so we gave this a go. It gets his attention and he's much better on walks! Don't really need to correct him as the collar just seems to make him more aware of my presence and what I'm asking him to do by voice command.Would recommend if you have a pup that just won't settle when you're out for a walk and you've already tried food motivation, clicker, harness... rubber guards prevent any scratches to your best 4 legged friend
