These hood struts are stronger than the ones I had from the factory. They almost lift my hood up. They are a great product. If you have a little mechanical inclination they're easy to install.

Work like a charm. Easy to install.

Used for a 2005 Toyota 4 runner. A novice here on car matinance and it took roughly 1 hour to install. Small instruction card was unclear and basic. Video was not very clear at all how to pry the metal latch. This is what took a long time to figure out. Basically you need a very thin flat head screw driver and force to move the metal latch along the grooves about 6mm & do it very very slowly & steady till you can see an opening. You can't move too far left or right making it move out of place & if you do you'll need needle nose pliers to move the metal latch back in the right place. Once my brother figure it out then it was straight forward to install the struts. Hood lifted good & did it 2x. Hope it will last.

The shocks were a little stiff at first, but after about 2 weeks it gets better. It comes with straight and angled attachments. So far so good. Very easy to install.
