Great shade, can handle wind
Took this on a recent boat trip to Lake Powell to shade us from the hot sun. It was a bit tough to put up the first time, but I suspect will be easier in the future. We did get hit by a big gust of wind that knocked the shade flat to the ground, but it popped right back up and suffered only a minor warping of the poles. It provided excellent shade, though it would be nice to have a side shade for when the sun is lower in the sky. I rigged one myself from a 5x7 tarp that I tied on with some string.Bottom line: much better than my previous shade, the Alps Mountaineering Tri-Awning. I would buy it again.

Wind proof, only if pitched before the wind starts
Bought this for beach days in Hawaii. Overall it held its ground against 20mph winds. Putting it together in the wind is another story. First time out and 2 poles bent.Once anchored and erected it swayed and made lots of noise, but did not budge from its spot. It’s nice that it’s light and portable, but on the really windy days here in HI I will be using a more robust and easily erected shade tent for the beach.

Great shelter
Perfect kitchen shelter. I'm 6'. Have plenty of head room and go in and out from 3 sides. One side is lower and acts as a sort of sun/wind wall. Has tons of loop/attachment points underneath for lights. The only reason I have it 4 stars is i bent one pole in about 23mph winds. Still works fine. I think this happened because the pole to tent attachment points are a little too far spaced apart. More attachment points would likely prevent this. Otherwise perfect shelter.

beach tent
I love this tent. Just got home from Virginia, and used it on the beach. It was so nice to sit in the shade to avoid the sun, I still sun bathed so I appreciate the shade after the dip in ocean. Took a little while to put together. Definitely need two people, and found out it was easier to put front legs in first. Also important not to forget to put poles through the loops on sides of tent. Nice size for two people or more. Perfect for me. Love it. I also went to the dollar store and bought back to school draw string back packs for a dollar to fill with sand to put on each corner instead of using string and stake ties. Works great to help with the wind.

The shade maker itself deserves a higher rating.
My complaint is that I bought what Amazon advertised as like new and undamaged. It was like new, but one of the poles was bent probably the first time some idiot tried to set it up. I bent the pole back into some semblance of its shape and hope it will be OK for a few uses before a kink develops. Will probably need to replace the pole at that point.

Good tent for the beach
Takes two people to set this up but setup time no more than 15 minutes. Very well made and withstood 20 mph winds. The stakes were cheap so plan on using better stakes. It's a bit of work but everything fits into the bag/backpack.

Light, quick setup and rain resistant.
I fly and camp so all my gear has to fit in a 32" duffel and weigh under 50 lbs. This lightweight camping shelter does a great job of keeping the rain off. I recently had to set up camp in the pouring rain and erected the shelter in just a few minutes. Then I was able to set up my tent under the shelter and then moved the shelter to it's final spot. It would be great if there were optional side walls. Also a great sun shade,

Great, lightweight shelter.
This is a great, lightweight shelter. Setup was pretty easy after you do it once. Lay out the tarp, assemble the poles, attach the poles and then the hooks. We used it to shelter our cook space.

Bought it as a replacement for a previous version from Kelty. Easier to set up and less prone to issues common with the first generation. Worth it, for sure.
