Kreg Custom Pocket-Hole Plug Cutter for any Kreg Jig with Kreg SML-C125 100-pack Pocket-Hole Screws

I find plugs cut with this cutter to be undersized by .5mm, making for a very loose fit which looks terrible. After measuring the diameter of the plug cutter in comparison to the three Kreg pocket bits I have and finding it's diameter less than all three bits I went back to using my plug cutter which gives a nice snug fit that you have to lightly tap in. Plugs made with the Kreg ug cutter just fall in they're so loose.

I am a big fan of the keg pocket hole system. I was looking to plug some holes I made in a couple of pieces of walnut. I was able to use scrap from the same cut of wood to make the grain almost identically. I had trouble with the plugs not turning out right. Then I read the instructions and realized I was cutting into the wood in the wrong direction. The best results come when you cut with the grain.

I used this to make plugs out of treated wood for a gate around a pool. Product worked grate! A few plugs chipped on the edges but this was due to the wet treated wood most likely and not the tool itself.I did not have a benchtop jig on the jobsite and was worried that this would not work well without one. I was wrong. Used a bar clamp to hold the unit on the material and it worked perfectly with no wobble at all.It seems to be a little pricey but as with all of my Kreg tools and jigs, it works exactly as it should and seems to be sturdy and built to last a long time.

Works as advertised but I did get a small amount of tear out along the edges.recommend using a drill that is greater than 1800 rpm to minimize tear out.

I use a lot of walnut and ash and wanted to make my own plugs instead of buying cheap wood plugs. The tool is nice but I think the price is steep. I found that the end of my plugs chip a little even with a brand new plug cutter that came with the kit. I had to leave the plus sticking out quite a bit to sand off the plenty of the plug to get rid of the chips. Overall it’s a nice tool to have and use.

this makes hiding the pocket so clean!
