Perfect for refinishing marble dresser top
I had a family heirloom that I inherited recently. It was an antique dresser with a marble top. The top was in bad shape with lots of scratches, some quite deep. I was able to get all but the deepest of the scratches out and put a nice shine on the marble top. Just what I needed for this project. The pads appear to have lots of life left on them, though I don't have a current use for them. Maybe I'll pick up something else that needs polishing...

They work.
For the first time I purchased a product over Amazon with the word "diamond" in it that actually did what it was heralded to do. These "polishing" pads (50-200 grit) are great for removing cutting marks and smoothing surfaces in stone sculpture; much like using a sander on woodcarvings--and almost as quick. This is what I hoped they would do and all I wanted. (I'm working in limestone and other porous rock.} However, I had some trouble with the more refined grits when I tried to get a polish on the surface of the rock and bring the color out. Even when wetting I noticed the stone surface began to blacken. I need more practice, obviously. As an alternative, I polish up to the 200 grit and then apply finishing wax (for wood) to the stone surface; this not only brings out the color, but also creates a dull sheen that is very attractive. (Sorry, too lazy to get up and take a photograph.)

Wast of time very very duol will not cut marbale
wast of money will not cut marble I can do better with hand padsUp graded the review to 4 starsFirst, this company send me email and explained the issue with thread size, needed to have 14mm to fir the grinding machine. OK, thanks for the info and I thought that was the end since I returned the product. Then few days later I receive duplicate of my order with correct size thread on the adapter plate. Now that I did not expect, this is a first company that has gone this far to correct a problem, for that I give you 10 stares if I could. As for the power of the marble cutting disks they are still dull and do not seem to grind the marble. I do have enough of water so I'm not cutting dry, I don't know I might be not using the disks correctly. Also RPM on grinding machine are at the lowest position about 100-150 RPMI just don't know what I'm doing wrong or the disks are not abrasive enough, but this is not working for me.

Use the proper tools and take your time
The media could not be loaded. We had a leftover piece of granite from another project and wanted to make a lazy Susan and some shelves. I used a 7" variable speed grinder/polisher and my wife supplied the water source. Take your time with the 50 grit to make sure you get all of the flaws from your initial saw cut out. Everything worked as it should. We did make 'eased' edges to start with a 4" diamond blade that speeded up the process. could not be happier.

Pads have no flexibility.
Bought this to polish a corian sink and counter top. Pads come apart (throw the tiles) when bending even slightly to polish an inside radius, ruining the pad and creating a safety hazard.

Success, first time granite project
I've never worked with stone before and jumped in to cut a counter for my outdoor kitchen. Couldn't believe how easy these were to use and had outstanding results on the first edge I polished. Project is complete and looks outstanding. Had an issue with brown residue on the higher grit pads which could have been my fault, they immediately replaced and advised me to use a lower RPM and water at high grits for the best results. Perfect advice!I highly recommend these, don't be careless and you can convert any rough slab into a finished project. My friends were all amazed and I am now "The Man" after they watched the conversion.

Fell apart on first use
First time trying to sand concrete, the mounting plate separated and flew off the angle grinder. A two piece design glued together isn't a very good design. Total waste of money!

Good quality
These are pretty good quality and last a lot longer than the other two sets I've tried. Worked well for wet polishing concrete countertops with an orbital sander. Bought two sets thinking I'd burn through them just like i did the first two, but the first set is still ready for more. Would definitely recommend.
