Great product
These dumbells are PERFECT for traveling. If you don't want to miss working out and you don't have a gym close, this is your way to go. Good quality, highly recommend, easy to set up and can adjust the weight.

Saves a lot of weight in the suitcase when traveling internationally
I bought these for my wife with some hesitation after seeing the high return item warning. We have been traveling around Europe for the last couple of weeks and my wife has been happily using them in her morning exercise routine. She did say they were kind of a pain to fill up, so after landing we have been carrying them around filled (we are driving). I think they are mostly returned because of the misleading 5 - 12 lbs description. Each barbell is rated at about 6 pounds, maximum. So the 12 lbs is for both barbells, combined, which makes no sense. My wife works out at home with 5 pound barbells so these are perfect for her needs.

DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF LEAKING JUNK! Bought for hardwood floors(leaked on them)!
Loved it for a while, until 4 of the dumbbells broke & now leak. Here are 10 points on why you should not buy this junk!1. I tried to fix the leaks but was not successful.2.I thought to myself, "great to protect my parents hardwood floors while I recover from 3 strokes & 5 heart attacks in South Florida-2017-2018" (In our published book) & traveling, UNLESS THEY LEAK, which they eventually will do!!!3.All now have & been thrown away!4.I bought them for my travel to the Philippines-(airplane travel for my exercise program to continue, (I do every other day) to marry my soulmate fiancee2wife Charlie in the Philippines!5.For when we travel 2gether, to many countries in the future. When they worked, they were good.6.If no break, a good value for the money. I would love to learn how to get replacement dumbbells.7.Need customer service information.Hopefully, you have better luck with breakage.I would not buy this brand ever again.8. Hard to fill up unless you are very patient!9.After 3 years all broke & leak, even after using "flex seal" to trying to fix it. IT only made very sticky & still leaks.10.O stars or -5 stars if I could give! These are my 10 points on why not to buy this trashy product & spend your hard earned money elsewhere! Have a safe, healthy, prosperous & great day or night! Yes, si, oui, Oo (Tagalog and Philipino for Yes)

Works great! 26 lbs each.
I've been using these for a few months now while I travel, and I like them a lot. I also use resistance bands, but having dumbells and being able to "move weight" is a lot more satisfying. I'm finally staying at a place with a bathroom scale, and at maximum capacity, each dumbell is 26.4 pounds. I see another reviewer saying that he's only getting about16 pounds each and is adding additional weights to each dumbell - I don't see how that's possible, because there is barely room on the handle to screw all four together when they're fully filled. He might not be following the instructions on how to to fill them. They are just as tightly filled as in the official pictures. It takes about 30 minutes of fussing to get all 8 weights filled and assembled, so it's not a quick setup. But they work great.I also managed to clock myself behind the ear with one of these the other day - no problem at all because they're just soft bloopy water balloons, but if I'd been using metal weights I think I would have really ruined my day, so there's a nice safety aspect to these if you're a klutz like me.I've left them filled for two months, with no problems so far.

Needs good water pressure
I bought these because I was transitioning into a nomadic lifestyle and not going to be close to my gym. I found that they are very hard to fill if you have water pressure that is anything other than a standard house. I also had a leak right out of the box, which didn’t bother me because I wasn’t using all 8 doughnuts. It was also bulbous and made some exercises difficult to do. The weights were also tricky to fill evenly (due to water pressure). I have since donated my set to the local goodwill, I found that a small bucket filled with rocks does the same exercises and I don’t have to fight with the water pressure or air sealing nozzles.

GREAT on the road workout!
These are FANTASTIC! Lightweight and easy to pack. I put them in a no-weight nylon bag to pack. Easy to fill and I worked up a sweat working out in my hotel room. I really like how you can add the pole pieces together and increase the size and weight. Truly worth the money and can save you some bucks if you have to pay a price to use a hotel gym or if they gym is closed. Didn't leak a bit!

We should have tested them out within the return time.
My husband bought these to take on a road trip. He should have tested them out in a timely manner because it is too late to return them. It is almost impossible to get enough water in them to make them stiff. They are floppy, awkward and hard to empty. You also have to be careful when closing them or they will leak. A waste of money, unfortunately.

Great but a bit awkward to fill (no surprise)
My wife and I are on an extended walkabout this year, and I needed some weights to bring with me. My wife has been telling me I should get a set of these for years, so I finally did. I got them back in the states and did a trial run. And I've been traveling with them for about five weeks now. They are a great solution to my particular problem. They're comfortable to hold, with all the plates on they add up to a reasonable weight for me (I'm not a power lifter). And they're quiet if you drop them. They're a bit messy to fill, so I started using a wee funnel I had lying around. That makes it easier. But they seem to also stretch a bit over time. So don't expect to get them looking like the photos. I imagine those are filled with air. It's hard to get enough pressure or whatever is needed to have them fill up real tight. But then you probably wouldn't want that, since the collar wouldn't fit without the extensions in that case. So just figure out your own best way of filling them and go to it. They seem pretty solidly made, too and are easy to screw together, etc.

Leakage
Unfortunately, water leaked in one of the dumbell at the cap.

Does the job
It is what it is, so far I’m happy with it. From the picture to what the dumbbells actually look like, is much like the representation of a Big Mac, the actual product looks sad lol. They work though. That’s what matters.

Poor design
It is a lot of work to convert from 2 discs on each to 4 discs. It could be done simply by adding the extension without changing the main part if they had 4 more nuts to support the extension. But now you have to remove the outer nuts and then add the extension and then again tighten those nuts!I will need to find and buy extra nuts for that. Also they could probably include a two way bridge in a way that by joining two dumbbells one can convert it to a barbell.

Good cheap adjustable weight dumbbells
I was thinking to give a four stars but I chose a five instead for my experience. Exactly what I want home. adjustable water weight. Cheap cheap price compare to a dumbbell system. Filling water setup took me 20 minutes easy and straight forward for all eight bells. I had a pair steel 20 lb which is a bit too heavy for chest work. This adjustable cheap price bells just fit exactly what my need!
