Best wireless mouse at its price
First of all, yes, the battery life, to some users can be abysmal. I am using 4 rechargeable min, 930 mAh AAA batteries, 2 at a time. So, I always have batteries ready. The LED of the mouse wheel flashes at a regular interval when the batteries are running low. When it starts to flash every 5 minutes, it is time to change the battery. Once I got used to this changing battery rhythm, I don't think about it too much. I also found out the reason for batteries being drained so quickly. This mouse has two methods to connect to PC wireless, Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz. We all know that wireless connection via Bluetooth has lagged. In the old days, all wireless mouses were connected via Bluetooth and hence I avoided them until now. This mouse when connected via 2.4 GHz, there is no noticeable lag at all. But because of the polling method, it will inevitably use up a lot of power, hence draining the batteries fairly quickly. But at £35, with great response, fitting the palm comfortably, this mouse worth at least 4.5 stars, if not 5.

Perfect all round wireless mouse with low latency.
The Rival 3 wireless makes an excellent choice for a gaming, office and editorial mouse. With a fast 1m/s response time, and the optional Bluetooth mode. It gives the best of both worlds. This mouse requires 2 AAA Batteries. I Typically use Duracell ultras. These provide around 38 hours on usage time. ( I have slightly reduced the polling in the SteelSeries App). I would have preferred a USB C connecter myself along with a built in battery. But realistically its ok.The left and right mouse click buttons and nice, large and comfortable. The sound of the clicks is nice and crisp. As a summery, Great mouse, Decent battery life and i will continue using for years to come.

Absolute garbage.
Unimpressive performance with the worst battery life I've ever seen in a mouse. I have bought mice half the price of these where the battery life was huge, I'm talking months and months. I bought this on the strength of they're other products (Mainly the headphone range - which I'm still a fan of). Sadly I can't say the same for this mouse. If I'm lucky I get 2-3 days worth of life out of my batteries MAX. I made a point of spending even more money on high powered Duracell rechargeable batteries designed for heavy draining items to try and combat this issue, and it made NO difference whatsoever. So I'm forever having to charge 3 pairs of AAA batteries to keep this stupid POS in power for around a week.On top of this the scroll mouse has developed a rather annoying squeak and feels like it's on it's way out already... I'm sorry but I'm going back to the £16.99 mouse I had before.Steelseries you need to sort this kinda crap out, your headphones might be good but this shambles of a mouse just boils my piss... I'll be launching it at a wall in the near future once it's replacement arrives.

Fit for purpose.
A perfect wireless mouse. It feels good, looks good and was easy to pair with my laptop. I have not found that it eats batteries. Much better than one with a wire.

Great mouse for a not too long period of time
I was in the marketing for a dual wireless mouse, after getting tired of having a mouse for my desktop for gaming and another one for my work setup. They are both on the same desk and I switch keyboard and screens within a second, so it made sense to have one mouse that I could use for both. The Rival 3 seemed like a good option to test if I could live having just one mouse for both setups, without breaking the bank. It worked for a few months, until issues started appearing.Pros:- When on offer is probably the cheapest decent-spec'd gaming mouse with dual wireless mode (£30)- If you turn off the LED lights, battery life is actually quite decent- It will feel like quite an upgrade if you are coming from a regular office mouse- I prefer heavy mouses and nowadays everything is lighter and lighter. With the 2x batteries in it, this is more on the heavy side, which I preferCons:- After 6 months or so, it started not connecting when turning on the computer (or switching mode from BT to 2.4Ghz). Have to reset the whole thing, change the USB receiver to another USB port, remove batteries, etc... and it'd eventually work. It's completely random, as sometimes it'll work every day just fine for a week, and then it'll be a pain to start using for another week.- The scroll wheel is bad. It doesn't have a great feeling, but it worked... again, for around 6-12 months. Now when I scroll down it tries, but it scrolls a bit up and a bit down, so it's quite useless.- If you want to have the LED lights on be prepared to change batteries once every couple of weeks or so.- Coming from a G502, it feels like quite a downgrade. It doesn't feel as robust or well-built, and the G502 scroll wheel is worlds apart to this one.I guess for £30 I couldn't ask for much, but I've used it now for just over 12 months and I'm already thinking of changing, as I can't really live with not having a functioning scroll wheel. And of course, SteelSeries support won't do anything, as it's now been over 12 months.

My colleague is extremely happy with it.
Bought for a colleague! He is more than happy with the quality, it's comfort and size. He is not using for gaming, he is using it for his business and school requirements.
