NeutrogenaRetinol + Vitamin C Correcting Cream, Rapid Tone Repair Face & Neck Cream with Hyaluronic Acid for Dark Spots, Fine Lines & Wrinkles, 1.7 oz

The first two photos (the ones with my hair in a braid and in a pink shirt) are from the summer of 2021 when I was 27 and had no skincare routine. The last two photos are of me at 30 years old taken in July/August 2024. These photos have no filters applied, and no Botox or prescription strength topicals were used. All of my products last about 2 or more months with daily use and are about $12-25, this cream being the most expensive product but totally worth it.This Rapid Tone Repair cream has been an integral part of my skincare routine. I have tried the Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair, but find this Rapid Tone Repair option has the same effect on diminishing wrinkles but does a much better job at making my skin tone even and bright. I work out every day, sweat a lot, and naturally have oily skin, but this cream doesn’t leave any residue. You can use it twice a day but I use it once every morning after washing with a Cetaphil Oil Removing Foam Wash and Urban Skin Rx Even Tone Gentle Gel Cleanser and about 15 minutes after applying Cera Ve Skin Renewing Exfoliating Treatment and the Ordinary brand Multi-Peptide Eye Serum. My skin looks brighter and even-toned immediately after applying. About 30 minutes after applying this Neutrogena Rapid Tone Repair cream, I apply an oil absorbing moisturizer from Cetaphil.At night, I wash again with the Cetaphil foaming face wash for oily skin and Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask with 3.5% Benzoyl Peroxide. I then reapply the Ordinary Multi-Peptide Eye Serum and The Ordinary brand Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion. I find this retinoid emulsion works better than squalene serums with my oily skin.If you want to skip the granactive retinoid emulsion, I would recommend using this Neutrogena Rapid Tone repair in its place. It took about 8 weeks for me to see a notable difference, but consistency is key and I’m amazed when I compare picture over the years. My skin did purge within the first month of two which made me break out for a week or so likely due to the retinol but keep pushing through it and it will totally be worth it.

After two days my skin is already clearer and feels plump! The scent is really pleasant and refreshing. I can’t wait to see my results after a few more weeks. I will post before and after after 2-3 weeks. I will use once per day in my skincare morning routine.

I am a face cream user - I try lots of different ones looking for miracles, and at the same time, have super sensitive skin and can tell right away if a product is something I should NOT use. I have probabyl thrown out more product than I have put on my face. This one is a keeper - most of the neutrogena products are ok for me - they don't make things worse - this one is smooth and helpful - has it made me look ten years younger? sadly, no, but maybe has kept me from looking ten years older, and that math works for me.

Doesn’t make my skin feel greasy, love the smell and how refreshed my skin looks when I use this!

This product has sizeable volume, easy to dip finger into and seems to be effective.

I'm one of those people who is willing to pay for results. I've tried many different creams and serums over the years and found increased price doesn't always correlate to increased results. So, I keep an open mind and buy based on reviews. I came across this product because I was looking for a daily moisturizer with SPF so I could skip a step in the morning. I also have acne prone skin and i didn't see reviews of people complaining of breakouts. If you are probe to cystic acne, you know how hard that is to get under control once it cycles up.So, I gave it a try. If I were just buying this as a moisturizing sunscreen, I probably would not repurchase. It did not break me out but I wish it was a bit more moisturizing. Because it is winter time, I end up applying an extra moisturizer and let it soak in a few minutes before applying the Rapid Tone Repair. I wish it had an SPF of at least 35 or higher. SPF 30 is the minimum my dermatologist recommends for me (i'm a melanoma survivor). I might drop the extra moisturizer and add extra spf come summer time.At this point, you're probably wondering why I gave it a 5 star review at this point the mods I have to make. It's because it really did lighten my dark spots and improve my skin tone way better than serums/creams I've tried that were 4x the price. If you have melasma or healing acne marks, you know how hard it is to get rid of them. The only thing that works better than this is prescription grade hydroquinone cream. Hydroquinone cream gave me acne and made my skin red and irritated so i'm glad i found this non prescription alternative. I really wasn't expecting much from the lightening capabilities but after a few weeks, I started noticing a dramatic improvement in my skin tone to where I almost don't need foundation. It really took about three weeks for me to see a noticeable diference. I'm not sure why it works so well for some and not others. It could be hormone related? You have to religiously wear sunscreen EVERY DAY to keep them from coming back. For the cost, it's worth giving it a try. Use the whole bottle before deciding. I accidentally purchased the night version when I went to reorder. Can't wait to see of using both the day and night version improves my results.

I swear by this. I absolutely love this product. It's part of my daily regimen. I have discoloration and it has faded my redness.
