Lenovo LaVie Z 360 - Core i7-5500U, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, 13.3in WQHD Touch Display 20FF0022US ( Model)

What can I say, this is the best laptop I have ever owned. I love that it is a 2 in one, it is faster and has better hardware than a Microsoft Surface and is an actual laptop, and is super light - I have never had a lighter laptop. Core i7 processor is super fast. The resolution is amazing in clarity. It works great as a tablet, goes from landscape to portrait display easily, KB and trackpad are disabled when folded all the way back. Touch screen is slightly slow to register touches but this was the same for my older ASUS touch screen laptop. One recommendation, get a screen protector for the Z 360 model. My only gripes are that it has only 2 USB ports, but I use a BT mouse and only use USB for flash drives, so no biggie. The other gripe is the keyboard has some oddly placed keys, I could do without the totally useless FrontSpace key, the backspace key si too small, the Enter key is weird, and the function key is where the control key should be. But I knew this before I bought it and I can deal with it. This laptop is by far the best 2 in one I looked at, and I love it more and more each day now that I own one. I'm a Mac guy but this laptop is way better than the Mac Book Air, lighter and half the price. Get one.

Just a very awful pc... Lenovo really messed up here. I got it for college and here are the problems I have with it. It will not maintain a solid connection to the internet when my smart phone and desktop do just fine. It has a very awful track pad that is not very comfortable to use for long periods of time. The keyboard is not back-lit and has very odd places for some of the keys including the delete and backspace. It is VERY SLOW. It will crash during class and it is embarrassing because here I am trying to do my work and it crashes and I am scrambling trying to get it to run better again. Finally, The touch interface is NOT user friendly.I have only downloaded a couple of programs like spotify, orCadence, MATLAB, and CodeBlocks. This should not be happening because I have the same programs on my desktop and it has been running strong for a good 3 years already. I would like to think it's just the windows 10 operating system, but I have had other machines run windows 10 without any of these problems I am experiencing.Very Disappointed. I wasted about 1000 dollars on a POS laptop for college and now I am pretty much stuck with it... Do not buy! Go research some more, because this laptop SUCKS!

Pros:Very light weight, very good screen resolution.Cons:Extremely uncomfortable keyboard, to the level of lowering productivity. This is unacceptable, and renders this laptop much less usable for anyone creating content. Keys are arranged in a natural way and shape, leading to numerous mistakes: th right "shift" key is so small that you will constantly hit the up arror instead, leading to numerous mistakes, prolonging typing time by 50-100%. The useless "FWD space" keyboard cannot be reassigned to anything else and interferes with using the backspace.This is very surprising considering that Lenovo managed to build much better keybaord layouts on physcially smaller laptops.Battery life - mediocore at best. About 6 hours in real world usage.All in all, I would NOT recommend it to any professional user.

I don't typically write reviews for anything but I feel that this computer deserves one. That being said, everyone should know what they are buying when they purchase this. I have been using this for a couple months, carrying it to work and to school and these are my experiences so far.1. You are buying the most ultra-light weight laptop on the market at the moment. Not only is it crazy light, it is rather powerful. It is so light in fact that the first two times you lift it up, you almost lift too hard and throw it. Because it is the most light-weight, it will not feel like an aluminum unibody laptop made of solid metal. It feels plastic-y...that's the point. Also, the screen is not a nice sturdy thick piece of glass, it is bonded to the lid frame and the edges are somewhat wavy due to bonding, though not distorting the actual display. The display remains very high quality, but reflections are somewhat distorted. This is one of the reasons I took a star off. Another effect of it being so light weight, the lithium-magnesium frame doesn't feel like solid metal so some people describe it as cheap feeling...for me, this is just a trait of it being light.2. You are buying a Lenovo-NEC partnership laptop. LaVie is an NEC line, and Lenovo made it available here in the states. As a result of it being NEC (Japanese design) the keyboard is non-traditional. This is one of the biggest complaints against this laptop but I don't think it should be. If you know it has this keyboard layout, don't get it if you don't want to. I knew it did, and therefore I knew it was going to take time to get used to the 'Backspace' and the right 'Shift' key locations. So far I have written numerous emails on it and a couple papers for school. A couple hiccups here and there, but not a show stopper. Also, the keyboard is not backlit...some people value this, some people don't. If you want a backlit keyboard, don't get this but at the same time don't hate on it. Backlighting it just adds weight, and they were def cutting weight. I was going to get this laptop for my wife as well, but she has to type 100+ words per minute and it would slow her down too much to learn the new keyboard.3. The laptop does tent mode, portrait tablet mode, landscape tablet mode, all with the keyboard disabled. I have read that this was an issue originally, but I didn't not ever experience it.4. This laptop does not have all the Lenovo bloat ware that comes with new Lenovo computers. Just a statement. I prefer it that way, but was grateful I didn't have to do a clean install of Windows 10 to get rid of all the junk.5. The speakers suck. I did not take a star off for this because most laptop speakers suck, but do note, these suck worse than most. I would classify it as listening-to-a-ringtone-of-a-song-from-a-flip-phone quality. I have headphones that I use for any listening and that works for me. Also, speakers are magnets. The nicer the speaker the bigger the magnet. The bigger the magnet, the heavier the laptop.6. The i7 with 8gm RAM and 256gb SSD means this is about as fast as you can get from an 'Ultrabook'. I haven't loaded the system with windows and apps and spreadsheets, and video streaming, but nothing so far has even made it hesitate.7. Battery Life is great. I haven't done a flat-out 100% to 0% test, but it lasts hours on battery, and it lasts days if not 1+ weeks on sleep.TLDR; Learn what people see as the drawbacks of this laptop, and if they don't work for you, don't get it. If you don't mind, you'll have an incredible laptop for less than $1k
