I have a number of HOOKE ROAD upgrades from OEM parts. I am pretty satisfied with the products. These guards are constructed of ABS and have a black matte finish on them. They are lightweight and durable. These guards add a bit of toughness and character to my Jeep.This area I haven’t taken any damage to from brush or rocks. However, my doors do swing out and hit there when the straps are removed. So it seems to be a great idea to protect this area from potential accidents. There have been times where I thought I was safe remove the door strap to perform some type of maintenance. Only to have the wind catch the door and it swing all the way forward and causes the mirror to hit the front of the Jeep.The install is SIMPLE. Clean the area first for the best results. Remove the 3M tape backing and put in place. Push down on the entire guard to ensure that all the tape make good contact with the cowl. That’s it.These cowl guards are solid and durable. Much more rigid and sturdy than I was expecting.I suppose the 3M tape works much like your hard top mounting foam tape. It will stay but is easy enough to clean up if you need to remove it.I appreciate you taking the time to read this. All in all, I really like these. It just gives my Jeep a bit more of a tougher profile. This is by far the easiest upgrade for the money you can do to add some character to your Jeep. Hope this information was helpful. [5 Stars]

Like quite a few Jeep JKU owners I ended up with dinged cowl panels and wanted to find a product that would cover up the dings and provide additional protection. Hooke Road's cowl body armor has exceeded my expectations.1: The product does not differ from what's in the photos. It's black plastic with a diamond plate finish. Jeeps are already tough, this just makes it look even tougher.2: Installation was easy. Open the box, place them on the cowls to do a pre-install check and you'll see they are sized correctly. Peel the tape, place them on the cowl, press firmly, step back and admire how good they look.3: No additional tape required. I used the pre-installed tape and once pressed against the cowl they have held up to I-15, 80+ mph Interstate speeds and gusts from trucks without any issue at all. I've hit them with a 3000 psi pressure washer blast more than once, again I haven't had any issues with them becoming loose.4: No fading. The sun in Las Vegas can be brutal on anything exposed to it, and these cowl guards are still just as black as they were out of the box. No UV issues whatsoever.I consider this one of the best low-buck changes I've made to my Jeep. Bottom line, they work as intended and hold up very well.

These are fantastic and look great on my JK, but the double sided tape that comes on them are complete junk. It would be a miracle if the stock tape lasted 30 days, or made it past a single carwash. it’s only about a 1/4 inch wide on soft foam with very mild adhesive, and it came off very easily. I strongly recommend you swap it for clear 1 inch wide Gorilla tape, or something of similar strength, if you want these panels to stay put.

Hi I need to contact the seller?I am absolutely in love with this product this is a fantastic product it looks great on the jeep really worth your money however I have one issue. I’ve had these body armor plates for maybe three months now and they look great, they haven’t had any sun fading which is also really good. HOWEVER One of them fell off....As you can see with my attached pictures one side of my jeep still has the body plate on; it’s completely intact; I wiped my surface down and adhered the plate correctly obviously; and may I add an addition the plate is securely stuck on the passenger side... but on the drive/ other side my Jeep the plate randomly fell off one day and I no longer have it. as you can see from my giving pictures I had adhered the plate to my jeep correctly because the glue strips are still stuck on my jeep however The adhesion between the glue strips and your company‘s product didn’t hold up.... can someone from the company please get back to me? I feel really sad and kind of silly in all honesty right now that I’m just driving around with one body plate on my jeep... I don’t think I should have to pay for a replacement plate when I had adhered it correctly with the glue strip still being stuck to my jeep.... is there anyway I could be sent a new replacement one? Or a refund?

First off, I’ve ordered a ton of items on prime shipping... 99% of the time they come in the late afternoon(5-7pm) This arrived on my doorstep before 10 am!As far as the product itself.... we ordered this to cover one of those infamous door dents! I was sceptical, but it’s the hubbys jeep and he picked this so I ordered it. I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing they look! No more door dent and they actually look good. Not cheap at all. A great alternative to the metal pieces, without all the trouble and work.The material was also a nice surprise. I expected it to be a thinner, flimsier plastic, but it actually has the same feel as all the other plastic pieces that most Jeeps have!Definitely worth it!

They may be plastic but they definitely hold on great! I had dents on both sides of my 2017 JKU where these cowls go maybe from aftermarket mirrors I'm not sure but this covered the dents right up!

They don't conform exactly to the curvature of the jeep. They look okay, but on closer inspection the bottom part is coming away from the jeep because of tension from an improper fit.
