Good quality
Nice pen. Many tools. Nice size. You have to take the pen out and flip it to use it, so that was kinda a pain.

Great Tactical Pen
Very nice looking pen, good weight to it. The only thing I wasn't to fond of is how the actual pen part is hidden away forcing you to unscrew whenever you need to use it leaving the rest of the pen on the table since there is no way to leave the pen attached unless you stuff it on which is prone to fall off, which can feel awkward for big hands. Of course its no big deal in private but in public it wouldn't be my 1st choice for writing. As for the tactical attributes of the pen TakeFlight did a fantastic job on the multi tool, glass breaking tip and flashlight. It all feels very high quality when handling the pen and i doubt any other pen on the market can compare, I can say i was completely shocked to see how bright the flashlight was on the pen and how sturdy the glass breaker and multi tool held up when used. Another thing i really enjoyed about this product was the packaging, the box looked very professional and felt very professional, the added batteries and ink cartridges were a nice bonus. Overall I would give this product a 4.5 but that isnt an option and a 5 star review wont be misleading for this product. Very nice pen. ~ Adam

Strong and Study, Well Made!
My wife purchased this for me for Christmas. I received a link from the seller asking me to review the Tactical Pen Multi Tool, so here is one man's honest assessment...PROS: Cool. It can do a little bit of a lot of things. Device geeks like me love this stuff. The flashlight is blinding and tiny. The multi-tool parts are impressive at first sight. Fun. The window breaker feature makes it a great item for the car, which is where I will keep mine. They also included replacement ink and batteries... nice. Pen flows in use. Not an item for your business suit, but good to know where it is. I have great respect for the engineering of this itemCONS: Expensive, but it is obiously VERY well designed and machined. I would suspect this "Tactical Pen" is durable, and you get what you pay for. Every aspect of it works perfectly except for using the pen that requires that you place half the tool down as you use the other half for a pen. Also, it is heavy for a writing implement. Can't decide whether it has more novelty than functionality to it. Ultimately, these small cons kept me from giving it a "5".

Functional and handy
This is a great pen to keep in your car or in your bag. Multi functional tools that don't take up a ton of space are a lifesaver! Flashlight and pen work well. Peace of mind knowing I have a glass breaker available if needed. Its also nice they included two pen refills and extra batteries for the flashlight. Highly recommend one for yourself and one for someone you care about.

Not the most practical, but when has that stopped someone from liking a cool gadget?
I received this as a gift.As an Army vet, I have never lost my affinity for neat gadgets. My wife and kids, recognizing this, get little things like this for me from time to time.Let me start with the drawbacks. This thing is huge. It is not something you are going to be carrying in your shirt pocket without it getting quite annoying.Getting to the pen is a 2 handed proposition. No pulling it out and readying it quickly with one hand. And the cap doesn't neatly go back on the pen while it is in 'pen mode.'The same is true for basically all of the modes. You will probably need two hands to access any tool except the glass breaking tip.Because of its size and its lack of easy access, it probably won't be a daily use sort of tool for most people. But it does have a handy combination of devices in a small package.I keep mine neatly hanging in the visor of my vehicle. If I am ever in desperate need for a pen, or bottle opener, I know where one is and I can get to it. And if I ever desperately need a glass breaker or a striking weapon, I have one that is quick to access and deploy. The tool appears very strong and well machined, and appears to be reliable for those purposes.Overall, I am happy with the tool and while I don't think I will need it often, I feel confident that it will be very handy when I do.

Great design/features, low quality fit/finish...
It’s a great design in theory, with a lot of great features one can use on a daily basis. However, for the price, the fit and finish is pretty bad (see attached photos). Near the tip of the pen, there’s a huge blemish in the black finish which just looked terrible. I saw lower-priced Smith and Wesson and Uzi brand tactical pens which appeared to be better put-together.Also be advised that when you flip from the glass-breaker to the pen side, the top/over won’t screw on or positively snap on to the back of the pen - it’s more of a friction lock, you just push it in as much as you can. This could be an issue, considering the pen is meant for active lifestyle use. The Multitool tip screws on, check it before your first use as mine came loose. The glass-breaker tip is the real deal, not just a one-piece machined tip.The light is bright enough for what you’d need it for- nothing more, nothing less. It features toggle on/off press, single mode, no strobe. It’s great to see Take Flight includes extra batteries and pen refills. Overall, the fit and finish of the pen is not worth the asking price, I will likely be returning it.

Great present for dad!
I always struggle when i need to find a present for my dad. He is so picky and has everything. When i found this pen i was very excited. It arrived yesterday and i have to say - my dad will be VERY happy! It comes in a nice padded presentable black box with a cool logo. The pens feels much more expensive - it's heavy, black metal, and looks truly very impressive. Comes with additional battery and 2 ink refills, which is a nice bonus. Can be easily clipped on a belt, or notebook. I like that it looks just like a nice sturdy pen but is so much more in reality! With bottle opener, glass breaker, flash light (very bright by the way!) - my dad can impress his coworkers in the office or just keep it in his car in case of an emergency.5 stars!
