I thought this was way over priced but I think highly of the Plow and Hearth brand so I bought it. Love this set now. It’s compact and small footprint, which is nice. The tools are all one piece of incredibly sturdy metal that is lighter than most metals used in fireplace tools. I’ve had other sets where the tops of the tools screw on and they always come loose. Assembly is super easy with just two steps. Nice, shiny, black finish that holds up to use. I can now say this was worth the extra cost. Best set of fireplace tools I’ve owned.

I purchased this itmen a few weeks ago. I have used it several times and each time I used it I realize how much I enjoy it. It is very well-made and stable and functions fantastically! Well designed and very useful. I fantastic!y recommend this item. You will not be disappointed!

I paid extra for this set and I’m glad I did. There was a similar one for less which probably would have been fine but the subtle differences in styling and the extra heft was worth it to me. Goes with modern or traditional.

For a fair price, these fire irons are very sturdy, fashionable and little or no assembly. Plus it is the only brand name that I could see that sell a longer and shorter version to meet your particular needs.

nice set of fireplace tools. Description says they are hand forged, which made me think of solid iron tools. They are not solid iron, they are hollow. I assume they are iron, but they are fairly light weight. I don't doubt the poker will last many years, but the tongs and shovel seem a little light weight. The brush is plastic bristle, so is not to be used on a hot fireplace. Overall a fairly nice set, but not as nice as I was expecting for the price.

I gave this to my father for Christmas. I don't know about the "hand forged" claim, but they do seem very sturdy. He has a fire in his fireplace nearly every day during the winter and they're not showing any significant wear after a month of hard use. He likes it.
