Boye Interchangeable Head Crochet Steel Hook Set, 1-14

These hooks are perfect for my needs. I've been wanting to get into crocheting with thread for a while, but kind of dreaded adding more bulk to my already overflowing crochet kit. I love that this is neartly packed into its own case.Sizes are exactly what I needed.A few notes based on other reviews to consider:1. Size: these are steel hooks designed for very fine crocheting. These are not the standard aluminum crochet hooks that most projects require. The sizing on these hooks are counter-intuitive. Size 1 is the largest and size 14 is the smallest.2. Quality: the quality of the hook heads themselves are great. My set functioned like every other Boyle hook I've purchase in that it moved smoothly through the loops.Some of the hook heads might feel a little loose, but as long as you set the hook head firmly into the notches on the handle the hook won't do more than jiggle enough to make a little metal on metal noise. I actually like the noise it's the music to my crochet3. Handle screw: when putting the hook head on you need to screw down firmly. I also found in the beginning that the screw was coming loose, but I just needed to switch up my hold. I hold the hook below the screw and have no problems.You will have to keep track of the parts loosing the handle or the screw piece basically renders the set useless. I found the foam insert to be very snug, so I just make sure to put everything back where it belongs when I'm done.My only complaints are that it would be great if the labeling included metric as well as US sizes and that the case had a very strong factory odor to it. The odor has been going away though.

A great set of steel hooks with a longer handle that does not make your hands hurt! The versatility of being able to change hook size on the fly is another reason I love this set. Because, let's be honest, some stitches lose their attractiveness with a small hook size and this allows me to change without having to fish for the right hook. It also keeps things tidy so you aren't having another hook in your project bag to snag your work. I highly recommend this hook set.

So the handle is prone to unscrew, but still way better than the incredibly thin handles most steel hooks have. I went one step further and got a pin vise for an handle and it’s perfect! Doesn’t unscrew and very comfortable. My pin vise has a rubber grip but is easy to find similar affordable online. This is a very complete set and I prefer the interchangeable heads since they take up less space in my bag.

I love these hooks as I have an easy to hold handle and can easily change out sizes without having to have a lot of hooks for different projects.

I've had three of these sets over the years and I absolutely loved them. Unfortunately, they've gotten lost during moving or I've lost the handles so I was desperate to replace them for the convenience of not having dozens of single crochet hooks in jars. This one, however, is such poor quality that Amazon refunded it without a return. One of the hooks got so stuck in the handle it had to be pulled out with pliers and is now useless. All of the hooks are covered in sticky black goop that had to be scraped off. Two of the hooks have sharp barbs directly in the crook of the hook that catch and tear the thread. The apparent plating on the gray under alloy (not steel anymore) in three of the hooks is flaking off out of the package. Two of the hooks are molded improperly and end up misaligned when assembled to the handle so that they're facing the wrong direction when you're trying to crochet. The nut that holds the hook in regularly unscrews while you're using it. Finally, the very end of the handle furthest from the hook is covered in sharp barbs and leftover edges of sharp metal from manufacturing that dig into your hand during use. I'm beyond disappointed. One defect happens sometimes in manufacturing but this set was so poorly made it can't just be an oopsie. I've always trusted Boye but it seems that they've also caved to the pressure to make their products as cheaply as possible rather than ensuring quality as they always had before. I wouldn't recommend this product.

This pack sits in a pocket of my favorite chair, and I'm not digging through drawers looking for the right hook. Very comfortable to use

At first, I really loved this. It's great having so many hooks in a small case. But I noticed I had to be super careful not to lose the hook base. Eventually, probably after a year or so, I did lose the hook base. So it made all the rest of the hook heads worthless. Not wanting to throw away perfectly good hook heads, lol, I bought another one. Would be nice to have two hook bases in the set, and to be able to order extra hook bases as they get lost (because we all know that it happens).My other issue with these hooks is that they loosen while crocheting and sometimes completely screw off when in my bag. I went on vacation and not wanting to lose my hook base again, I bought a set of regular steel hooks. With both sets of interchangeable hooks that I owned, I got so used to tightening them back up as I was crocheting, that when I switched to the regular steel hook, I found myself regularly trying to tighten it out of habit. That's when I realized what a pain this set was. I think the idea is nice, and I could've worked with the constant tightening of the hooks (it just became habit). But I had to buy another hook for my vacation simply because losing the hook base makes this worthless. That makes this whole set ridiculous.

Don't even think to buy the set , the quality is really bad and the hook heads didn't fit well , no Worth it , not even for free.

英語表記だったのでよく読まないで買ってしまった私が悪いのですが、レース針のセットでした。ケースもしっかりした作りで、細い針先も保護されるのでモバイルには最適です。針の付け替えもでき、このセットだけで号数が揃うのでレース編みを始める方にもオススメできます。毛糸のかぎ針だと思い込んでいたので、開けてビックリしましたが、せっかくなのでこれを機会にあまりやらなかったレース編みもしてみようと思います。
