Strong long-wave UV source in a portable form factor
When's the last time that your new flashlight came with an owner's manual? Did it have a wonky section that boasted about the design choices? Did it have an actual, coherent troubleshooting section? This one does. This flashlight deserves a great manual. After all, it's a great flashlight: solid machined body, USB-C charging port, and a narrow-band 365 nm pass filter. And the beam... this thing is dim... until you shine it on something fluorescent! Holy cow!. You realize how narrow the human visual spectrum is. There is a ton of UV emitting from this flashlight, but it's not visible. Turn on this beast; depending on what you seek, you may be thrilled or mortified. Walls and floors that look spotless light up with dust and stains. OTOH, lots of things light up in unexpected and delightful ways. Take a nighttime hike with this device; you'll see bright blue-glowing centipedes, yellow fluorescent mushrooms, scorpions (if they are indigenous). Limitations? Keep in mind that the beam is long-wave UV. It will still make some rocks in your fluorescent mineral collection light up, but it won't be the colors that you see in the museum short-wave fluorescent mineral case. For that, you need an SW unit, 10x what you pay for this flashlight, and not portable. Heat level? The UVBeast V3 mini gets pretty warm after a few minutes, but not hot. The lithium battery is replaceable if you exhaust its charge/discharge lifespan.

UVBeast V3 365nm Mini: Pocket-Sized Powerhouse for Professional-Grade UV Inspection
I’ve been using the UVBeast V3 365nm Mini for the last month, and I’m genuinely blown away by how much performance they’ve squeezed into such a small package. This little powerhouse slips effortlessly into my pocket or toolkit, yet delivers the same high-definition 365 nm UV output you’d expect from the larger, bulkier models. From detecting pet stains on carpets to verifying currency authenticity, the beam is crisp and uniform, with virtually zero visible-light leakage thanks to the precision-filtered optics.Charging is a breeze—simply plug in the included cable and walk away. No fiddling with cap threads or hunting for a special charger. After a full charge, I routinely get over two hours of continuous use, and the upgraded LED cores keep the output rock-solid throughout. The double-click on/off toggle is a small but well thought out touch, preventing accidental activation when it’s riding on my keyring or stashed in a pocket.Build quality feels truly professional: the anodized aluminum body is lightweight yet robust, and the knurled grip gives you confidence when you’re pointing the beam into dark corners. Customer-driven refinements (like the wider beam angle and accidental-operation protection) really shine in the field. If you need a go-anywhere UV light that doesn’t compromise on power or convenience, the UVBeast V3 365nm Mini is hands-down the best compact UV flashlight I’ve ever tested.

Great purchase!
I bought this to use with "stuff" that helps to fix cracks and dings in my quartz countertops. The trick (I learned) is that the tiny light that comes in the package of the "stuff" is pretty useless and this works much better. I do agree. It is a nice piece of equipment that in my life has fairly limited use. It came will loads of information on how to use it and how to put the battery (rechargable) in it. So it is a good purchase.

Good build quality, stays cool during extended use.
I bought this to replace my Lumintop Tool AA UV for curing applications, hoping it would have stronger output, better heat dissipation, and longer runtime. It's about twice the size of the Lumintop Tool AA series, so it certainly delivers with runtime and heat dissipation, but the output isn't any better than the smaller counterpart by Lumintop. That's not entirely surprising since both lights utilize a single UV LED emitter.I also find that my Lumintop lights are of a *slightly* higher quality overall, but that's certainly not to suggest that the uvBeast isn't nicely made. The thing that stood out to me the most are the very sharp threads on the tube for the end cap and lamp face. This is a really moot point, however, since the uvBeast has an integral charger whereas my Lumintop lights require battery removal for charging.

Excellent customer service and excellent product!
I bought my original UV light from them a while back. It stopped working for some reason. I tried all the recommendations to get it working again but to no avail. I reached out to their customer service for troubleshooting support. They told me not to worry about it and sent out a brand new flashlight! They didn't need to but still did. That's excellent customer service. I'm a customer for life!

Works but has quirks.
Charged it when it arrived. Red led turned on then off when it was finished charging. Used it for 2 hours, then went to charge it again. No led light. So I tried an older Apple charger (the square type with folding plug) and a different USB C cable. This time the led light turned on and I could recharge it. It turns out that some usb c cables are wider and won’t fully seat in the charging receptacle. It’s a matter of fractions of a millimeter. The button turns on with two clicks…a safety feature to keep it from turning on accidentally. You barely need to touch it to turn it off…not even a click. The light was bright enough for my purposes. I believe you can use two c123 batteries and it will work. I prefer to have things work well right out of the box. If I were a first responder and needed something to always work, I would return it, as quirks are not desirable in critical situations; however the light is small and takes up little space in my gear bag. I will be using C123, which last a long time and always work and can be stored in the light without issues. I’m a photographer so I’m used to gear having quirks and over promising and kind of delivering…and am used to figuring out workarounds for stuff…even for cameras which are thousands of dollars. I’ve noticed that more expensive lights also have honest negative reviews also so paying more doesn’t necessarily guarantee better quality.
