Can't get this to list 1920x1200 as a supported resolution in red hat? it lists pretty much every standard res like this. anyone got a solution?

If you’re talking about Linux there will be a million different solutions but the thing you should know is that those resolutions are reported by this device. If you force override it somehow then it’ll work at whatever resolution. You need to find a solution for your specific drivers and xorg/wayland/whatever. If you have nvidia drivers for example then you should be able to just go into the nvidia settings tool and add a custom resolution. Perhaps there is a way to force it with xrandr if you are using xorg. Hope any of that helps in some way

Does the DisplayPort dongle support 2560x1600 at 60hz?

The top resolution selectable on the 1080p version (which I have) for RealVNC server is 1920x1080 in Windows. Unsure about other OS. RDP is flexible and creates a resolution that corresponds to your local machine. Hence a 1080p dongle on the server will still give me 2560x1440 on the local. This dongle basically ensures that your server can boot up without complaining about “no monitor attached”.

Works brilliantly for a headless PC!

I wanted to game stream from my PC to my Steam Deck as the computer room can get toasty when playing demanding games. However, a lot of games have reduced performance when a monitor isn't connected, meaning you need to waste power and possibly risk burning in your display by leaving your monitor on. Thanks to this dongle, I have a spoofed 1080p/60 display (which can go up to 4K), meaning I can turn off my monitor while I game stream. It also works the same way for remote desktop applications.Setup is as easy as plugging it in, I tried some software solutions in the past but none were as simple or effective as using a physical dongle. If you have any reason at all to want a virtual display, I highly recommend this product!

Great for Steam Link allows 60fps 1080p gaming

I use this ghost display in my gaming desktop to stream games frpm my steam library to my phone or laptop all the time. It works as intended. Would recommend.

Perfect ghost display

This ghost display is great as its simple to use its a plug and olay solution. This is being used to simulate a display so i can vnc into a unattended pc that is on 24/7 where i am running a libe stream. Great value for money and great savings.

Worked a treat

I got this device to allow me to access a remote HP Elitedesk G3 remotely, if you PC is headless (not connected to monitor or KVM) then the Intel AMT does not allow connections to display the Remote Desktop, this cheap device fools the AMT software that a monitor is connected.Excellent, worked as it should.

Not as advertised

My PC would boot, but no display until I unplugged the adapter. Once I was at the desktop I could plug it back in and it would work but only at 1080p 60hz. 1440p was limited to 30hz. Unfortunately one of the reasons I wanted it was so I could remotely access my PC through moonlight but since I need to be present in order to unplug and plug it back in each time it's a bit pointless.

Exactly what I needed to run a headless system

My ThinkCentre Tiny wouldn’t boot without a display attached and it was only running as a media server for Plex so didn’t need a display. This caused many problems when it rebooted for windows updates etc.This thing did the absolute most and now it reboots perfectly with no problems and my server is always online. Access it with Remote Desktop and everything is great.
