The hood is very well made. It fits very well, except I wish the glass did not lay against my nose. My bad-big nose is hereditary. Lol

Hits your nose - BUT-
It definitely hits your nose but I took a baseball cap and cut off most of the bill / visor. Left just enough (maybe an inch or so) of the bill so that I can put the cap on, pull the hood over that and the bill of the cap holds the glass off my nose. MUCH better.Also, I bought some of the clear, plastic vinyl that is used to cover car hoods, etc and covered the outside of the glass face shield with that so the the glass doesn't end up blasted and hard to see thru. For about $13 I got enough clear vinyl to recover the glass MANY times.The air fitting on the back of the hood is apparently for 3/8" air hose. I'm thinking a 2' or so piece of 3/8" air hose with a female milton connector.Haven't used the hood yet but it is well made and I think it's going to work well.

perfect for outside sand blasting
I do a lot of powdercoating and normally use a blast cabinet. However there are many items that are simply too large for the cabinet. For those I would have to go outside to blast them.Even if it was only a quick blasting to get into nooks and crannies that my sander couldn't reach, I would have sand in my hair, my eyes(even with safety glasses on, and my ears.I got this one not even thinking about the size. It seemed really small but that worked to my advantage. It does go on a bit tight but the elastic snugs up around my neck to keep all of the sand out.Yes the shield does lay on my nose which is a bit annoying but other than that it works perfect.I can breathe fine with it one and I don't hook up the air to the back of it. Now if it gets into the 90s maybe I will.I am really happy with it.

Need notice needs air supply
Didn't know that it required an air supply......thought I could wear a mask under it, but cannot/you have to have an air supply to give positive pressure/stop fogging. Probably my fault as I did not know.

Does what it is designed to do
Fits snug, Doesn't allow blast media to enter hood. Air connection keeps mask from fogging. Good heavy canvas.
