For the past month i have noticed that my fitness instructor has to disassemble her smart phone case to play her music for her class. Then i used my phone to listen to an audio book and i remembered that i had to research and find a special cord that would fit down inside the hole in my phones protective case just to make the headphones work. Finally i saw these. I gave it a shot. I wish i had bought 10. THEY WORK. But now i have to remember to check the cord after her class to make sure that she takes this adapter with her. If everyone was honest i would just leave this adapter on the cord in the fitness studio, but i am afraid that someone will love it so much they will take it home. I have an extra one with me in my gym bag if it disappears. It is small and it may be hard to keep track of, So just buy the 10 pack! I just bought another 10 because i never want to be without one.

I purchased this extender to allow me to listen to my Custom In Ear Monitors on my iPhone with the Apple Extended Battery Case. I was so sad when i bought this case and realized I would need to buy a new cable for my phone to work with it. Well, this was a MUCH better and cheaper solution!There is a slight bit of resistance from the case due to the length of the thin portion of this connector. It is a perfect fit, but it's really close. Right before it inserts into the headphone jack, there is a tiny bit of interference with the case. It's not enough to cause any issues, although if you pull lightly on it, you can feel that an "outward force" exists on the extender due to the case.I also tested the sound quality using this extender vs no extender using Jerry Harvey JH13 $1200 in-ear monitors... if there was sound degradation, I would absolutely hear it. This does not affect the sound in any sort of noticeable amount. If there is degradation, it is not audible to the human ear. This was a big relief for me as an Audiophile. I used The 1975 - "I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It" as my test track. Great frequency range to listen for any degradation and all checks out!All this said, it works well, it IS compatible with the Apple Extended Battery Case.

All three in the package have slightly bent poles. Will test them later this week. But they are definitely not straight, so even if they work, they don't deserve more than three stars. Will update if they don't work.
