Video review: Sample footage and hints, tips, and tricks.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Overall, decent camera. It works just fine to watch my driveway.- I got this camera because I wanted a security camera that didn't require subscriptions.- The quality is pretty decent and it notifies me when theres someone within 30-ish feet.- Fantastic field of view (see footage)- Comes with 8gb micro SD card but I put a 32gb one in. This will last for a LONG time... I'm only 4 days into using the camera, and it's only used up 150mbs of footage that it's triggered/recorded.- I have it set to recording 10 second video clips- The iphone app is buggy, but works. Just be aware it might crash when you're talking "2 way" with someone on the other end of the camera.- About a 1 second delay/lag.- Plugs in using a USB cable.- Audio is surprisingly decent.- Green flash in footage is fixed by texting the video to yourself (not downloading it, then transferring it).HINT: Setup the cameras be FIRST downloading the app. Follow the app's instructions, no the manual that comes with it.Hope this helps! :)

Works well and looks nice
This is my second security camera. The first one was a door camera, and I have stopped using it with detection because it was sending me notifications every 5 minutes. I have installed this one in my back patio to provide security in the back of my house. I'm still testing the detection functionality, but so far it seems more reliable than the other one. This camera comes with two pieces: the camera itself, which has a rechargeable battery that is supposed to last between a couple of weeks and a month depending on usage (will update the review when I have to charge it) and a base station that can connect to more than one camera and provides connectivity and storage. What I liked:-The camera and the base station have really nice looks. They could be an apple product in that sense.-The software is simple to use and seems to work well-Video quality is very good and the night vision works well and covers my entire patio easily-Movement detection algorithm seems to work fine and includes human detection (see dislikes below)What I didn't like:-No wifi whatsoever. The camera connects using some proprietary protocol to the base station, and the base station requires a wired connection. This is not an issue for me, as I only wanted one camera and my router is close enough that connecting the base station with an ethernet cable is not a problem. I don't know how this would work for a large home, so keep it in mind.-Human detection seems far from perfect. I turned it on and it highlighted my grill as detected. I tried moving around and it followed me pretty nicely, but having the grill detected is not very reassuring.-No web-based access. At least none that I could find. It would be nice to be able to have the same functionality that I get from the Vava app in my desktop, but if it exists, I have not found it yet.Overall, a nice camera and I'm happy with it.

nice security cameras
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. First of, I'm just curious why are there so many people complaint about the difficulty with syncing the camera and the base. For me, I followed the quick guide booklet and follow its step by step and the whole setup took only 5 minutes max. For people that has problems setting it up, just make sure to download the App, then register for an account. Once you're logged in, add the base to the app, then add each camera to the base as instructed by the app and they are read for use right afterward. Anyway, I really like the magnetic mount that it comes with the box, too bad they only included 1 magnetic mount and 1 wall mount. The wall mount is useful when you want to mount it from the top down since it gives me more control on how to angle the camera correctly, but it's more work to remove it for charging, so I might have to look into hard-wiring (probably with a portal solar panel) the USB power cable to it so i can keep it plugged in permanently. With the magnetic mount, it's much easier to remove the camera for charging, making it really portable and easy to access. The 2 ways audio works very well, the speaker on the camera is loud enough to hear from about 6-8 feet away. The picture are clear, though I do wish that they are 3MP or more so it can provide better details. The phone's app would send a push notification every time these cameras detect any motions, so this is a great camera to use for entrances and such. Another cool feature I do really like is the alarm button on the app, it would send the signal to tell the camera to sound a pretty loud and noticeable alarm siren that could be heard from at least a few hundreds feet away, which would be enough to alert my neighbors. As for the base station, it's nice looking and has a slot for MicroSD Card for storage, that would support up to 128Gb memory. I also see a NAS storage setting in the app that would allow me to have the base station to store video and pictures that it capture onto my NAS, which can be very useful and provide better way to access those recording from my computer.

> > > A fairly good security HD Video Cam from VAVA
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This VAVA Cam pro delivered on its promise:1 - The 1080p HD camera is highly portable2 - Its battery lasts for a long while when set to recording motion-triggered clips3 - Wireless connectivity is very good in our home setting4 - Video quality for both day and night conditions, indoors or outdoors is good (see samples in the video review)Two things I wished were more user friendly:- Setting it up is a bit of a process. It takes some steps and 2 separate pairings to connect the system to your cellphone but then it's just a one-time process so maybe not that big of a deal.- I wish you could plug the micro-SD card directly to my laptop to copy the files. Instead I needed to download them first to the iPhone and from there copy to my laptop. or maybe I missed something and there is an easier way(?)If you find this review helpful, please click below.
