perfect for a few hours in the woods
Seems best fitted for loads less than 5 lbs. I don't use it with the shoulder strap and haven't noticed a bounce when less than this weight. Easily fits a light rain jacket (or compact binoculars), 1st aid kit, energy bar, headlamp, wallet, keys, small field guide, and water bottle. Rain jacket in pictures is an 11 oz 3-layer jacket. Binoculars are roof prism 8x42's. Field guide measures 4-1/2" x 6" x 3/4". Website says it will hold 24 oz water bottle, but 20 oz gatorade bottle seems ideal (see comparison photo). Two water bottles greatly diminishes the space in the main pocket (and increases weight) so I only use one. Interior stash pocket is about wallet size (see photo). There is a key-holder loop in the outer stash pocket. Wish it had a way to lash a z-style trekking pole.

Big enough for my camera
I carefully researched many lumbar packs because I need one big enough for my mirrorless DSLR. I don't like carrying around a large camera bag over my shoulder as that starts causing pain, and a backpack gets too hot; but a lumbar pack would be perfect. The videos showing what fit in the various lumbar packs showed a lot of flat objects, but my camera isn't flat, so I was worried about sizing. This one was perfect. It fits my camera, filter pack and spare battery. I can even fit in another lens. (Granted, my extra lens isn't that large since it's a mirrorless, but it fits what I need) Has room for keys, snacks, Kleenex, etc. I love that I can store the waist straps, and throw on the shoulder strap if I venture into a store or restaurant after a photo trip. It was worth the extra money to get the size I needed.

Size is smaller than what it looks like online.
I bought this product to use while walking on the beach and hold my phone, radio and water bottle. At first it was better than my UA strap back back. I’ve had it for about a month now and within this past week, both of the adjustable strap holders broke off with a day of each other. I put my large radio in one of the bottle holders and a regular size water bottle on the other side. It is very difficult to get the bottle in once it’s on. I put my phone inside. I also attached a small aid bag to the top that lays over the zipper when worn. The open pouch I put dog bones in. It’s impossible for me to jog, let alone run with it on without something falling out within a few steps. The adjustable straps always loosen up after a little walk and you have to take it off to adjust. I do like it for what I use it for, but for the price, it’s way too much. I would’ve expected for this size and quality to be around $20-$25. I am thinking about getting their larger Tour bag, but may go somewhere else since I didn’t have that awesome feeling with this product. I did a lot of research as to what was the best to date and this one was at the top of every list. I personally would not use this for longer hiking trips as it doesn’t hold very much of what you really need. I really wanted it to work for when I travel at the airport, but I can already see it’s faults. I really wanted this product to be the first of many I would purchase, but again, I think I’m going elsewhere for the next one. The size looks bigger on the Internet. It holds my iPhone 6s Plus with little room left on the inside. Hope this helps. Enjoy.

Great small lumbar pack ... for minimal load.
I needed a small waist pack to carry my key essentials. The intent was to use it as part of two bag system. The idea was to never remove the small bag, even when working at a desk. That way, it is always availablel, since it contains my Covid-19 PPE, medicines, keys, and other essentials. Lunch, water bottles, and other niceties are kept in a larger bag. This setup works well for me. When I don't need to carry extra items, the Drift is all I need. This is a good bag for the minimalist.

Great smaller bag for half day hikes/walks
Perfect for my bird guide, and a stowable jacket along with a phone. The drift (5 liter) is for in-between my DAY lumbar pack(13 liter) and a regular fanny pack ( about 1 liter). More for those half-day hikes/walks. Side pockets fit 16 oz. water bottles just right. Loaded as I described I can take a hike without anything falling out. The front outside pocket is great for a stowable jacket with a small attachment loop, as the front pocket has a plastic clip,, so it won't fall out!It handles light rain without getting anything inside wet, as water beads and rolls right off. However, if they ever offer a small rain cover for it, I'd buy it.

Pretty great not as big as anticipated
I like the comfort of bag on my back there’s padding. Only four stars because the pocket on front has no zipper or snap and it’s not deep enough to hold anything without stuff falling out…a few thin bungee straps would have been cool… But I can add Velcro I guess. I don’t know what anyone can use that pocket for…I tried stuffing my windbreaker in there but it falls out. The bottle holder area could have been about one or two inches higher. I was going to return it for the bigger Tour style but I don’t have tags anymore. It’s a step up from my camelback jogging waist bag which pretty much just holds a bottle and has a couple pockets but that was designed much more clever like than this. The sturdiness of this bag looks great though…the quality is nice.

Best hiking gear I’ve bought
This is perfect. At first when I loaded it with two water bottles it was pretty heavy, but once i put it on my hips, it was like it wasn’t there. I love that my arms didn’t rub it when I hiked. Nothing in the way, and easy to adjust

Perfect!
It’s just the perfect size and water bottles fit on each side. It’s just what I was looking for!!
