APDTY015373 EGR Cooler Kit With Gaskets (Upgraded Stainless Straight Tube Design)

It was above my knowledge and skills to do this by myself, so I bought this bulletproof-style EGR cooler (bulletproof-style is any egr cooler with the 6 tubes running thru it and the big beefy welds) because my stock one (the one with radiator style fins inside) was leaking coolant into my exhaust system making huge white clouds of smoke. So I bought this EGR cooler, the upgraded oil cooler, new dummy plugs and stand pipes, new valve cover gaskets, a few gallons of new coolant, and brought it all to my local mechanic to install. My F250 6.0L powerstroke RUNS LIKE NEW now. I'm not kidding! All the parts I listed + the labor came to right about $1800 bucks total. Money well spent. I was about to get rid of the truck, but I'm glad I didn't. The rough idle in the mornings is gone now. The throttle response is way better, and the engine purrs. If you have a 6.0L... do what I did... you will NOT regret it. Oh, and once you do this your 6.0L will be considered 50% bulletproofed. I wanted to go 100% bulletproofed and have the ARP head studs and O-rings installed, but wifey said No! lol That would have been an additional $2400... $100/hr x 24 hours labor. Hope this helped!

This kit arrived on time and looks well built. All the gaskets are pretty thick and not flimsy which gives me a piece of mind that this is likely comparable to other high ends product. The construction of the egr cooler appears to be just like bulletproof egr cooler with decent welds. Although, there is one location that looks like there is a pinhole in the weld ~ .080" in diameter therefore this rating is only getting a 4 star. See photo. I will reach out to the seller if they are willing to send a replacement, otherwise I would have to go get this welded somewhere just to prevent any future cracks or leaks.I'll provide an update review after all my bulletproof parts come in and installed (less studs)

My old EGR Cooler went out, so I parked the truck until I could purchase a bunch of parts so could do the job right. I upgraded everything, including the turbo. This EGR Cooler fits perfectly. A side by side comparison reveals that this one is built better. The design and welds are superior. And much cheaper than The Bullet Proof model I initially wanted to buy. I would strongly recommend that you pay extra and buy the Ford OEM intake gaskets, O-Ring, etc for this install. If you are going this deep into the engine, may as well do it right. Very happy with this purchase. I’ll do an update when I hit 5k miles on my early 2004 F350.

Pretty good product. Would have given it five stars but the coolant pipework didn't line up too good to the oil cooler. Had to pry the line a bit to make it work. I didn't use the cheap blue hose (bought a OEM one from the stealership). Didn't want to risk it. Changed out the oil cooler at the same time. So far so good. Much better price price than the big names on the internet.

Works fine after 4 months of use, figured if it was going to fail it would have by now.

Cooler is fine. The intake gaskets, not so much.prefer oem gaskets.

Purchased based on the reviews wbich were good but i was still heatiant about buying it since it was so cheap. But my mechanic installed it and so far been runing it for 1000 miles on it and no leaks and also my temps are good on it.
