I, too, was preparing for negative temperatures (as low as -20 real feel) and found I was lacking a good thick coat that really got the job done. I looked through tons of coats on here, prices ranging from $60 - $150+. I gathered a few I thought were the best from the ratings, then I compared those. Finally, this coat won because it’s the only one that was MACHINE WASHABLE! Important to remember when buying new clothes.The coat arrives and immediately I loved it. Everything about it! It’s still cute and doesn’t make me look like a jumbo puff marshmallow, AND it’s the warmest coat I’ve ever owned. Like for real, this is the only outerwear you need. I went out today with just a short sleeve tshirt on under this coat, -5° real temp, and was still warm!! Which is amazing because I hate the feeling of multiple sleeves bunched up on my arms.The hood is a bit big when it’s unbuttoned, like in the pics you can see it covering my eyes, but it’s fine once you button the neck up. Then it’s more fitted and won’t hang over your face. I also was originally hoping to get a size large enough for layering, but an XL was a fairly formed fit to me so I don’t think a hoodie under it would be very comfortable. But that doesn’t matter bc it’s so warm you don’t need to layer!!Overall 5/5 best purchase i’ve ever made. For reference i’m 5’ 3”, about 200lbs, and an XL fits me well but not oversized. Length wise, It goes down to your mid-thigh.Hope this helps! Stay warm friends.

Definite pros & cons:Pros:1. Great price2. Good quality3. Love the color - I bought pink4. Great style5. Keeps you warm - even in super cold windCons:1. Comes in a vacuum pack bag, so super wrinkled. Must steam or iron as these wrinkles don't come out after hanging for months. I tried just putting mine in the dryer for a few minutes as suggested by some reviewers, but it didn't work.2. Hood way oversized - I love a hood & will use this one, but its so deep and tall that it most definitely obscures peripheral vision a lot. Could have been considerably smaller & more functional.3. I can't believe no one else mentioned this, but the coat is NOISEY! It sounds like you're walking around in bubble wrap. And, yes, this bugs me.Neutral:You have to order a size up. Too bad it doesn't run true to size.

Nice, thick and warm

This coat was much heavier and warmer than I had expected for the price. It’s nicely well-made, the first came very wrinkled. I needed a little bit of steaming and fluffing with a hairbrush to get it to look like for instead of really artificial, but it looks really nice. Haven’t tried it out yet in cold weather, but this is a much longer coat than I was also expecting I expected it to hit just a low the wall Hip line but it’s mid to high. The size runs a little small. We ordered an extra large, but could’ve actually gone a little bigger than that for a 5’6 180 pound person. But there is a bottom zipper that you can lift to give you a wider range of motion. I felt like I did not have a lot of flattering aspects and was more straight sided. Then I would have light but since it’s here I will keep it. I wish it had a belt or something to add an accent around the waist, but as it is, it will be a nice heavy duty coat. I don’t think I will want to wear this every day because I do feel the movement is a little restricted, but I was expecting a very lightweight coat and I’m glad that this is heavier built. It has some weight to it so if you’re sensitive about the weight of your outerwear, you may consider that . It would be really difficult to pack this coat being as the fill is really fluffy it says polyester, but it feels more like down. I don’t know how it will wash up but I don’t in planned to find out it says surface wash, and for the most part, that is what we will do.
