Well made but...
I liked that it was soft to dog skin and well made. I don't like that it is a bit too wide for our male dog. It hits his wee wee. It needs to be a bit shorter in the middle curved area.

Saved My Dog From Surgery
I ordered the GingerLead after seeing it on Amazon, desperate foe anything that might help my partially paralyzed dachshund. Thank GOD for this device! My dog was able to start doing her business outside again (instead of me having to express her bladder manually), which has been a huge help! This was literally a lifesaving device for us and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone whose dog is having problems standing or walking.

Our dog hates it.
Our dog hates it so much she will get up as soon as she sees it. It works great but uncomfortable for our dog.

our collie Lacey doesn't like the sling,
very sturdy Lacey does not like it. But when she falls going up the stair from the outside I can lift her by myselfwish the velcro was a bit wider and longer as its hard to wrap around the handle

Simple Solution
My Husband and I have been using the GINGERLEAD Dog Sling Hip Support Harness for our 85lb GSD for about a year and a half now. We don't need it all the time, just on his 'bad' days when it's hard for him to get up and down the back steps or in and out of my Husband's truck. The Sling allows for someone to support their pet without having to bend at the waist. I can now help my pet without worrying that I might fall because I'm off-balance or injure my back. The GINGERLEAD Dog Sling Hip Support Harness was more cost effective than similar items from other companies and it's very well made. We've had no issues with the sling as far as wear and tear, and no unfinished edges that scrape against my pet's skin. We're very pleased.~ Spooky

Easy to use
I bought this for my elderly German Shephard/Rottweiler mix. Thankfully, I have only had to use it a handful of times. My old friend typically manages to get around, but just like humans, he has days where the weather seems to affect him more than other days and he needs a little extra assistance. Quality product and the company is second to none. They personally reached out to me to see how things are going. They are amazing.

High quality and more natural/comfortable support
My dog couldn’t walk due to disc issue and this was the best solution. My dog was used to body harness leash, so it was very natural and comfortable to add little more support.

Perfect for IVDD rehabilitation
The media could not be loaded. We used a ginger lead in combination with a good harness to help our dachshund with spinal injury learn to walk again. The ginger lead helps to support the hind legs when needed without hindering the dog's movement. The lead is well made, is comfortable for the dog and has adjustable length straps for tall or short humans!

Gingerlead is a godsend...
I have an 11 year old tripawd Boxer, who had his left hind leg amputated back in March this year due to osteosarcoma. He had been doing brilliant on 3 legs up until recently when he seemed to have a respiratory infection and seemed to tire more regularly. After a few visits to the vet, 2 different types of antibiotics, anti-inflammatories and an x-ray, it was discovered that the cancer has metastasized to his right lung, where he has a tumor. His breathing has now improved, but he now requires help sometimes (not all the time) to get up from laying down and when he goes out of the door with the step. I have found the Gingerlead to be a godsend in helping him up, and out over the step (He steps out with his front legs, but I lift his rear end over the step, which helps to take the pressure off his front legs and prevents him from trying to hop/jump over the step. He has accepted the Gingerlead very well, because when he first had his leg amputated he did not like to be 'helped' and preferred to get on with it himself. He seems to appreciate the help now though. Once he is out of the door and on 'solid ground' I take the Gingerlead off and allow him to potter in the garden and only use it if I think that he is struggling. In the house he gets about ok, except for the odd assistance in getting up. I am really glad that I had the Gingerlead, as it does make his and my life a lot easier if help is required. I would highly recommend it to anyone who has a dog that needs mobility help.

Gingerly walking after dog's knee surgery
Exactly as described and very well made. After searching and searching this is the only dog sling I found that's the right size, has adjustable length handles and also clips on to the collar or harness. It's great! Works well to support my staffie's back legs when walking after his surgery and also as a 'brake' to stop him going too fast from the collar or harness. It will also be useful when he is able to start going up and down the stairs.

The surgeon was very pleased with her progress after a month and then we ...
This was absolutely fabulous. Just what we needed to help our miniature Dachshund recover from spinal surgery. It let her gradually get used to putting weight onto her back legs and we could completely control this. The surgeon was very pleased with her progress after a month and then we didn’t need to use it.
