STANLEY SL5HS Rechargeable 1200 Lumen Lithium Ion Ultra Bright LED Spotlight Flashlight

Just received this light today. Arrived with enough battery charge to test the functions. This is a great handheld spotlight. Very bright - the high beam in the dark illuminated about 200 feet before the beam was stopped at my treeline, spreading about 20 feet at that point. There, it illuminated the area bright as day. High, low and halo LED lighting worked well at the pull of the trigger. This light is relatively lightweight, looks and feels rugged. Just the light I need for the wooded area around my property, and for inside during power outages. The light seems to be sealed well enough to get slightly wet in the rain, but I wouldn't drop it in the water. Stanley has a waterproof spotlight similar to this model, but the waterproof one has less features, not as up-to-date, and is only slightly less expensive than this one. Overall, I am very satisfied so far with this light. Good quality, reasonable price, great features, with a name brand.One note, on the good side - I did a lot of research on spotlights, decided that I did not need the waterproof model as I am not on the water, and this light has more features. I really wanted this light but I almost didn't buy it because the charging types available were not clear on this website. Even with the photos and instructions in the owner's manual, available to see online at this site, were unclear - it showed male connections for AC charging at the back of the light, presumably for use with an extension cord (not included). With the help of another owner on the Q&A board on this website, I learned that this light is charged with the latest style USB adapters (both included). AC charging uses an outlet adapter, USB port at rear of the light. DC (car-type) power plug has a USB port and charging indicator light. USB cable is included, about 18 inches long, but any android-style USB power connecting cord should work. My light took about 2 hours to full charge, from the low power light indicator on the spotlight - probably quicker with my USB fast charging adapter. All of this type of USB charging system is the latest style, efficient and easy to use.

I bought this in October of 2023. It worked great for a year but now it doesn't keep a charge for longer than a week and I only use it two minutes a night. Unfortunate that it no longer stays charged, it was great the first year. I need to buy a new one and it won't be one of these.

I wanted to wait until I'd had the light for a while, before writing a review. It's a good light, and a good value. I had another model - the small yellow one - and gosh that one lasted for years before it started acting up. I had to get this particular one, because of course, they didn't make the other any more. This unit is bigger, which I don't care for - it's bulkier, but really lightweight. If I'd actually bothered to read the instructions (before I tossed them in the bin) I'd probably understand why you got to hit the button so many times to shut it off - it goes from super bright, down in intensity before it finally goes off. It's confusing if you've had a couple beers and are simply trying to get back across the driveway..... Anyway, I don't use it a lot, so I can tell you it holds it's charge a long time. I've only had to plug it in a handful of times since I bought it. I've dropped it several times (yes... out in that same driveway) and it's held up just fine. It's a product - go for it!

It's a great spotlight. In fact, I have 2 others. However, they neglected to send me a power charging cord with it so I can't really charge it.

Lots of candle power battery life Is reasonable

We live in the country where there is no streetlight. My husband and I use this to take his dog out when it is dark, and the light is fantastic for this purpose. Both of us agree. The light travels very far and is very bright and broad.It lasted 2 year, then stopped charging. So we purchased another one. Only to discover the charger block was the problem. The flashlight itself still works and charges great with the new charger. But we don’t regret buying the second one—love this flashlight.

I purchased this item and I am very surprised at how bright the light is and how far the light will shine. The grip is comfortable and does not strain my hand to hold it. Press the trigger and a very bright spot light and halo outer ring turn on. Press trigger again and the spot light dims. Press trigger again and the spot light dims again. Press trigger a fourth time and the spot light turns off but the halo stays on giving a nice ambient light. Fifth press turns all the lights off. The brightest spot light can throw good light at least 300 feet (I didn't measure this distance) I did shine the light on my wooden fence that was 150 feet away and had no difficulty seeing people, trees and other small objects clearly. The spot was approximately 15-20 feet wide at that distance.. I have only had this light for about 45 days and have only charged it once. Still has plenty of battery power left. Next time I charge the light I will do a continuous run time and write an update.
