Okra is a hot weather vegetable. Okra seeds are hard. Soak them in water overnight before planting to speed germination. Space the seed about 6 inches apart and about 1/2" in the row and thin seedlings to the recommended spacing, or plant groups of two or three seeds at the recommended final spacing and thin seedling groups to one plant. Okra seedlings are sensitive to cool, wet soils and cool air temperatures. Acid soils result in poor pod development. A second planting of okra seeds about 6 weeks after the first planting ensures plenty of tender pods in late summer and fall when production on theearly planting is declining. Cut back tall okra plants to a height of 3 to 4 feet to promote branching, to make harvesting easier, and to renew the plants. Side dress with a nitrogen fertilizer at the same time.

Germinating very slow
Received in a reasonable amount of time given Covid delays in shipping times. Pre-soaked seeds to shorten germination time, but so far only one seed has sprouted so I am reserving judgement until I see how many seeds actually germinate and grow for me.About 3 in 10 seeds germinated.....very poor quality. Seeds should have been culled/floated to determine viability prior to shipping.Would not reccomend.

One lonely plant.
I am very disappointed in this product. I planted the 50 seeds and only 1 seed germinated. I am anxiously awaiting for it to bloom and produce.
