Borderlands 2 Limited Edition Strategy Guide

Guide was in great condition. Saw no defects or damage upon arrival. Decently priced. Would definitely recommend both this edition of guide and the buyer to others.

Why?Presentation - maybe it's my years of retail oriented jobs, but this counts for a lot to me. I got my hands on a copy my friend got to go with his collectors edition (or whatever) of the game. I was extremely impressed not just with the cover details but also the cool "Insane Travel Guide" feel you don't get by just going on line.The sections in the back include papercraft models and cool insider interviews. The class section shows you developer favorite builds. All side missions are fully detailed, and many maps include markers to help completionists find EVERYTHING, or just about.The attention to detail in almost every way sold me on this book, and can't wait to have my own copy in a few days.My one big complaint is that they left the Mechromancer PC Class out, even though she came out only a short while after game release, but such is the sting of DLC.

They charge about $15 dollars more for this guide at GameStop, and half the time when i DID have the money, they were out of stock. The illustrations ar on par with the game itself, the screenshots are a nice touch. The guide is comprehensive, featuring maps, a beastiary, breakdown of each character's abilities/skill tree, breakdown of the weapons system, maps, tips for achievements/challenges, a pull out page of foldables (Claptrap, various skags), plus interviews with the game's desigener's/staff. It is hard cover and features a nice graphic on the front that is glossed/shiny and contrasts the satin cover (the picture of the vault hunters on the front and Handsome Jack on the back, both are done with a gold, foil-type print). It also has quotes from the game staff throughout, and that is another thing that makes it pretty awesome.All in all, freakin sweet, and with a savings of $15, it can't be beat.Hope this review helps

First, this is about as well done as a strategy guide can be done. That being said, you don't need this guide, but you will want this guide. The guide gives an essential overview of each character class and skill tree, along with developer hints on allocation of skill points. In addition to walkthroughs for all story and side missions there is a breakdown of all enemies with weapon weaknesses and multipliers. A generic weapons guide for the bazillion guns in the game is also included, unfortunately some of the "red lettered" weapons are not defined in the guide but these can be easily found online. Most all the information in this guide can be found for free on the interwebz, but if you are a fan of the series you should buy this.

The Borderlands 2 Limited Edition Strategy Guide is fantastic looking. It's thick at over 400 pages with a very sleek looking hardbound cover. The guide is certainly not perfect though and is lacking information if you plan on completing this game 100%.Pros:-detailed walk through on how to make it through each level with minimal difficulty-Provides sections focused on story missions and side missions-Provides information on how to complete each area specific challenge-Has some fantastic artwork throughout the book-Insight into the game from the developersCons:-Screenshots of the game are too small and too dark to give proper images-Doesn't provide complete list of Easter Eggs in game-Leaves certain things out for added mystery(Vermivorous)Overall I was happy with the purchase because the strategy guide is gorgeous looking and it does indeed help as a guide on how to complete the game and find area challenges. The guide isn't 100% complete though so if you are wanting to explore every inch of Pandora you will need additional help from the internet.

What a great guide with loads of extra content that you really do not want to miss. I know you can find lots of details on the internet but having the guide handy gives a different feeling. In addition, this guide looks and feels so amazing, hard-cover, a true collection item. Being the fan of the series, this is not something that I wanted to miss from my collection.

It's a pretty sweet guide but I don't like the fact that some of the legendary gear's locations are classified. What's the point in buying it if the publishers are going to be trolls and omit the location of some of the sweetest legendary weapons? It's got some merit though. The maps of the areas in the game are very detailed showing such locations as the sometimes hard to find cult of the vault symbols. The section on side missions list every one available in the game in great detail with the exception of dlc of course. It's worth the price since you can use YouTube to get the locations of every legendary.

I am actually a collector of special edition strategy guides as well as art books. This book does a great job infusing both together. A full walkthrough, beautiful artwork just like the game, and thourough story background to remind you about pandora and what happened to your collegues from the last game. Definitely would recommend this, especially at the discounted amazon price. Although I would wait and see if a game of the year version comes out like they did with the first game that includes all the DLC.

Vorweg: ich bewerte das Guide im Wesentlichen aufgrund der Optik und Aufmachung. Zum Inhalt kann ich nur wenig sagen, aber dieser ist für mich zweitrangig. Ein paar nette Informationen stehen drin, ob es in der Summe wirklich was zum Spiel beiträgt, sei mal dahingestellt.Die negativen Dinge vorweg:- Der Char Mechromancer fehlt (da dieser erst später hinzu kam, ist das verschmerzbar)- Das Papier der Seiten ist recht dünn- Die zwei Bastelbögen am Ende stören mich persönlich etwas (Geschmackssache)Das ist aber Jammern auf hohen Niveau, daher will ich keinen Stern abziehen.Ansonsten sind alle Seiten sehr schön und passend zum Spiel designed. Das Hardcover macht auch etwas her. Wer als Fan von Borderlands was Edles mit Informationen zum Spiel sucht, wird wohl kaum enttäuscht und für ca. 20 Euro hätte ich so viel Qualität nicht erwartet.Zumindest einige Fakten konnte ich beim kurzen Durchblättern finden, die mir nicht bekannt waren, vieles sind aber auch Trivialitäten. Aber zu mehr als Durchblättern hatte ich bisher keine Zeit. Da Informationen für mich aber auch nicht ganz so wichtig sind, ändert das an meinem Review schlussendlich nichts.Den Inhalt sollen andere bewerten, aber Aufmachung und Fun beim Durchblättern rechtfertigen den Preis allemal. Da in den meisten Spiele-Guides ohnehin nur Mumpitz drinsteht, liegt die Messlatte für den Inhalt ohnehin niedrig...Für Fans auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

Cet ouvrage est une véritable mine d'or pour n'importe quel chasseur de l'arche. Des armes légendaires à la moindre petite bestiole, tout est là. Et c'est sans compter les skags et le claptrap en papier que l'on peut assembler et qui trouveront leur place sur votre étagère à goodies !

This LE strategy guide is, firstly, a steal at this current price on Amazon (RRP is £19.99) and I'd recommend everyone snap it up while they can.It is a really nicely designed guide. That looks great, and feels great in the hand. (Plus it smells nice too...)I always buy guides for games with substantial content, as although all this information is available for free online (As every guide review in the world will tell you) I still take great joy in the physical. Guides like this one are a prime example of why I still buy them - It's just so much nicer to sit there with a game specific, superbly designed tome as you go through the game rather than just a wall of text on a website.So, it is very superbly presented but it also has a very substantial amount of information, in fact so much so I was quite surprised at what I was missing in the game until I picked this up. I thought I was being rather thorough, but clearly not! There are a ton of hidden challenges and references in the game, a guide like this ends up becoming invaluable.The bestiary is worth special note, with great info and design. The cardboard folding Claptrap and Skag are nice additions to have, and overall I can't really fault it.The only thing that is a slight gripe is that the directions/pictures showing where the 'Cult Of The Vault' symbols are located are somewhat hit and miss. The directions are short, and some of the pictures are basically useless. For example, it might show you a 3-picture sequence of how to jump up to where you need to be, but one of the pictures is in the daytime and the others are at night - And you can't make the night pictures out very well.But again, this is just a slight gripe.Overall, a great little package that is beautifully presented in the Borderlands style jam packed filled with content. As I said earlier, once you own this it might end up becoming somewhat essential for any completionists out there!
