Very good quality and fish love it
This sits in the bottom of my koi pond. It looks pretty natural in there and my fish love to hang out under it. It’s bigger than I expected.

Safe place to hide and looks good too
Great product for our Koi pond. The fish really love hiding in there. Also gives the babies a place to feel secure until they’re large enough.

Pricy but worth it
I started with one, bought a second, and now I'm purchasing my third log for the goldfish in my pond. I have been very happy with these faux logs. After I open the box, I vacuum the styrofoam off the log, then sand the sharp burrs on all of the openings. Is it annoying that something so expensive has to be sanded? Yes. But it doesn't take long and the log looks great in the water. The fish love it, and I can tell when the heron has been around when they are all jammed together under their logs. As my fish keep getting bigger I need more logs for them to hide under!

Predator protection and koi comfort.
Fantastic for larger koi ponds. All the fish love the security. I’ve had to end up buying three to accommodate need/want.

Hard to find size, but for price expected better quality.
While this is really one of the only items I could find on here that was sufficient size for our very large parrot, the price was tough to pay. I finally gave in and ordered it, and when I opened the product I was beyond irritated to feel the incredibly sharp edges and points primarily on the ends and around the holes of this product. They were bad enough to harm any fish that would potentially come in contact with them. I ended up having to sand them down, and while it wasn’t a hard fix, for the amount of money this should not be an issue. Otherwise for design, size and overall appeal, it is a great product. Clearly they have the corner on the market here. It does tend to stay more clear of algae than other decor in the tank which I appreciate, it doesn’t get shifted around or moved easily and is a stable piece and is appealing to look at.

Perfect fit
This is so cute and the Koi and goldfish love it! It took them about an hour or so of curiosity before they all went in. Now they are zipping in and out of the side holes too. It was very light and I thought we would have to weigh it down. When it’s placed in the water it fills with water and sinks (like a little ballast tank). We have to buy another one because when our big orange koi goes in the others don’t really fit. The raccoons can not reach their little paws in so the fish are safe. (Above ground pond created in a 300 gallon stock tank with drain from tractor supply)

Great log for outdoor pond!
Love this addition to my pond. My fish love it too. There are 8-9 koi & goldfish in my pond ranging from 6 to 9 inches long, and they all hide it the log together. The only downside is I hardly see me fish anymore! Lol

Not just for Koi fish!!
The floating foliage in my pond died, which my red ear sliders loved to hide under. Being that it's getting close to their time to brumate, I needed to find a second spot for one of my two turtles to shelter. They are very territorial and don't share space. I purchased the Large sized log cave and it's big enough for one turtle (mine are about 8L inch X 9W inch size). She was skittish at first but within 2 hrs., she went inside it. It's been 3 weeks since the purchase and they love it. 2nd picture, is a close up of my turtle peeking out through opening. My pond is 3 feet deep, 6ftL X 5ftW. It blends in nicely with rocks. Pricey but it's worth the investment. Turtles and owners are all satisfied with this addition to the pond.
