My kit was the zodiac wheel. I think maybe six hours I worked on this, maybe less. The instructions are minimal, but are easy to understand. The assembly can be fiddly at times. The filing/standing takes some time, but each spot goes fast. Model is 6 or 7" high. I dont know the song, but it's nice. The music gets done fast, I'm not sure how far it can be wound. Challenging kit in a good way.

So, this is a very cute product that my son (3 years old) found delightful and I enjoyed putting it together. I didn't look at the dimensions before I bought it, so it was smaller than expected. I have never built a any type of model before, but I did this in about 3 hours with pliers, wire cutters, and a slim file. YOU DO NEED TO FILE SHARP PIECES. Overall, the instructions were okay, BUT you need to know that the installation of the carousel legs and music motor are backwards from what they show in the directions. The legs are a bit of a pain to get in, so you need to know this. INSTALL THE MUSIC BOX FIRST onto the proper plate, so it lines up correctly before you do the legs on the opposite side of the plate. Otherwise, you will need very fine tweezers or a sharp blade to lift the metal brackets to remove the legs and re-position them. Also, the full carousel assembly screws in COUNTER-CLOCKWISE to the music box assembly. Lastly, put the horses on last because they will tangle. See my photos to see how the legs line up to the logo and the turn key and compare it to the directions when you get them, so you see how the directions are incorrect and don't mess up like I did. Overall, neat product though and I will build more.

Love the tree it’s beautiful but difficult to put together very small pieces needs some one with great eyesight and nimble fingers. It’s very pretty snd glad my grandson could help

This item looks like it might be a great idea as a gift to assemble or as a gift already assembeled.However unless you want to be frustrated I would find another item. The directions are poor, pieces are sharp , tools are missing. It is very hard to assemble, the metal tabs are flimsy and break off easily, it bends and breaks what you have accomplished as you try to put more of it together !Unless you like to be frustrated i would leave this on the web site. It is not inexpensive either! I would have given no stars if I could.

Love the tree thought it was cute. However the directions for the plate to attract the legs was printed backwards, didn’t realize that until after the legs were attached :( Must have been a misprint because the directions clearly state to attach them to print side up. Needless to say one leg broke and we had to ad lib a little. Just make sure the music box fits before attaching legs is what I would suggest is all. Still very cute.

If you love assembling little things and enjoy a bit of a challenge then this is for you. The instructions were a tiny bit questionable at times but not too bad and I love how it turned out. Make sure you have the proper tools to remove the pieces from the metal sheets to avoid breaking them. The music box echoes and vibrates in the metal housing but that was to be expected with the material. This was an awesome gift to myself.

I am super impressed with the quality of this kit, and the items that it comes with! A musical wind up movement is included, as well as a multicolor LED Module with a wireless remote control! The instructions are well illustrated. The only thing you will need is three AAA batteries for the LED lights that are not included. The remote has a battery installed with a protective piece of plastic that you pull out to activate it. I noticed that right after I bought it, it shows up as unavailable, so I must have gotten the last one, but I'm very happy with it.

I've done a lot of these type of models, and this has the WORST directions I've ever seen. They show multiple steps in one picture, and it's in the round.... so you can't see what's going on in the back, nor can you tell what you're supposed to attach something to. Also for a product that rotates they only colored one side. I've had other kits (other sellers) that are colored on both sides. Very disappointing!
