Installed on a 2006 Hyundai Sonata
Installation wasn't too bad. So far so good. Ride quality was restored.

Like new but word of caution.
Purchased a set of two front quick struts (172281) and a set of rear shocks (5614) for my 2009 Hyundai Sonata 2.4L (150,000 miles). Reason for the 4 stars were one (other was fine) of the front quick struts were not properly aligned during factory assembly, about 45 degrees off so was unable to do a simple install. I had to decompress the assembly and adjust the strut. This can cause extra time and money having a shop work on your car. Probably not a common issue but something to be aware of. Going to email Monroe directly to see how they respond. Other then that once all four were installed the car road beautifully. Quiet/no squeaks, smooth and handles bumps like new. I put about 500 miles before writing this review. I'd consider purchasing again even with the assembly issue.

I got the right model strut, but it does not look like the picture. It looks cheaper.
Got 2X of these for my 2008 Sonata V6 front. Looks like I got a different version that looks like the cheaper ones you can find by searching 172281 with the split rubber around the top and bottom of the spring and silver circle middle on the top mount going for $100 for 2X. Does not say OE Spectrum on the strut, but just has a red sticker to indicate it's Monroe quick-strut. I hate it when things aren't as expected. I don't drive that much and they work fine for now, but time will tell if it was worth it. In hindsight, I would have rather gotten the TRQ or Detroit Axle 4 pc strut kit with 2X quick struts and 2X sway bar end links since I changed those out too.

Amazing Ride Quality
What a huge improvement in ride quality over the Stock Struts. Pricing is really good.

Noisy clunkers
After installing and removing multiple times because i thought there was another issue I realized that these quick struts were noisy clunkers. Googled the issue and it seems to be a common trait for monroes quick strut assemblies. The situation I was in left me stuck with having to tolerate the noise rather than being able to return them. It sounds as if my suspension has a bolt loose when I go over a bump. Same issue was with my other car's rear struts which i thought was a unique issue but now after more research its a design flaw of the struts. The only plus is these struts through amazon is a good deal vs buying at a parts store.

I would spend the money on a better quality.
Ever since i installed in my car there has been a noise coming from the front end.I pulled them back out and reinstalled no change. The quality of ride is not close to what it use to be.
