I bought this after reading all the (mainly four- or five-star) Amazon reviews and looking through all the photos. In brief - loving it!APPEARANCEI like whimsical things, whereas my mom prefers traditional decor. We both adore this little lamp's looks. When even the more negative reviews commented on cuteness, this was one of my primary motivations behind buying. I mean come on, it's $13.99 as of this review. Worth the price if it's cute enough even just as decoration. It's elegant, it's simple, it's ADORABLE.BRIGHTNESSThe other factor really important to me was whether it was bright enough for nighttime computer usage and to read books by. I like more lighting than most people, so I was quite concerned that it's just 1W. I keep it mostly on my kitchen island and only use the highest brightness setting, and given my kitchen offers some background lighting, I've found the lamp sufficient for both reading books and especially for using my computer. It's targeted lighting - you won't be using it except where the light directly points, and in my case I set it up right next to my computer. So if you're hoping to light up the room - it won't. But as a desk lamp, it's solid.BATTERYLove how it can last 5 hours on the highest brightness setting while cordless/unplugged (10 hours on medium, 15 on lowest settings respectively). I did research on Lithium-Ion rechargeable batteries, which this has; apparently of the 3 rechargeable batteries, this type is "smart" and won't over-charge, so unlike other rechargeable batteries where keeping it plugged in kills battery life, it's instead RECOMMENDED to keep this lamp always plugged in and the battery charging when you're using it and **even when not using it**. The battery will still die eventually (what doesn't?) but it should be good for a solid number of years, according to my reading (NOT on this lamp's battery specifically, but on this type of battery namely Li-Ion). Works for me.OTHER COMMENTS- Touch sensor is super sensitive (though I have to tap 3 times every time to get to highest brightness setting, it hasn't been annoying)- As others have mentioned, it won't plug into a wall directly. You have 2 options: 1) charge it on your computer or other place with USB port; 2) use an adapter like the ones that come with most modern smartphones- Seriously, it's $13.99 and LED. Just buy itNOTE: I'll update this review if/when the battery eventually dies. So as long as this review is here, the battery is still up and working!

I love this little desk lamp! I received this item promptly, exactly as described by the seller. I have been searching for a desk light solution as I wanted something both aesthetically pleasing and functional but that does not take up a ton of your workspace. I tend to get migraine headaches if I have too much bright light so I was pleased to find this item has three settings, bright, medium, and dim. The power button is a simple touch sensor switch; you tap once for dim, twice for medium, three times for bright and a fourth tap turns it off. I also like that it has a little cubby for a few pens. The usage time is great with a 15 hour continuous use time on dim, 10 hours on medium and 5 hours on bright and it only takes 3 hours to fully charge! I thought the price was super reasonable, given the overall functionality and appearance and many available color options if you're looking for something a little more funky. I went for the bright green and it appears a vivid bright green, exactly as it did in the descriptive photos. The charging port is a micro-USB and it comes with the needed cord, a good three feet which allows you ample cord to connect to the nearest USB source (computer or wall charger or whatever is handy).
