Good unit, but it depends on your use.
Been using Cyberpower UPS units for years, they are extremely reliable and bought this one to use on a new computer. Under normal circumstances these units can handle a computer and even a small monitor without issue. But this new computer is a 14700k which is known to be power hungry and also a large graphics card. At times where the computer is running hard, it can overwhelm the UPS which sounds a tone when its wattage is surpassed. So bear in that in mind when buying. If you're running a newer desktop, particularly Intel, this may not be enough to handle it. That's on me, not the UPS. I did not mark it down based on that, just putting out the information based on my experience. Still, a good unit and Cyberpower is probably the best out there. For laptops and other applications it should be fine.

Doing its job
Using it to supply power to powered loveseat that has Bluetooth built in. Working great. Layout of plugs works great for this. I believe uninterrupted power supply helps things last longer and run better due to go smooth flow of current always.

Good Basic UPS
This is perfect for my needs. It has enough battery backup time for me to save my work and shut down my computer if there's a power outage, and it bridges the gap nicely when the power just blinks off and on. You can connect it to your computer with a USB cable and monitor your UPS or change settings using the free software. All in all a good value.

Does what it's designed to do.
I would give it 5 stars BUT... I bought this based on the answered questions and reviews of the 550VA/340 watt model. They said it would work with a larger than 340 watt load but for a shorter time. I didn't care as long as it gave me time to shut the system down. It doesn't work that way, it will not function with a load larger than 340 watts even when grid AC power is supplied. It looks at the load and if it's larger than 340 watts the unit screams at you, you can shut the alarm off but it will come right back on in a few seconds.SO beware, don't use this for a system over 340 watts, the information people are giving out is false. The specifications are the specifications and it will only operate within those limits.I have used it for a while now, power PART of my system, when the power went out it lasted about 35 to 45 minutes. The PC interface on the USB cable works as advertised, good feature. It does what CyberPower says it will, my fault for believing other people in their reviews and answered questions.I am giving it 4 stars because I believe CyberPower should review the comments and have the faulty ones removed.

Works well
So far when the electric goes off and comes on it never changes the satellite. The satellite will continue to operate on the batteries which gives it an even power source. It's also got plugs for a surge protector if you don't want to run it through the batteries. For the price I can't see anything wrong with it. It was within my budget.

UPS
My main use of this product is for simply, Battery backup so that I can resume my work without interruption of a power outage (even though I have a laptop, but my newly built desktop is on standby) It had a weird smell once I opened the box but its not bad, that means it was freshly packed (In my opinion). The software was great, just what I wanted. All I have plugged in is my Cisco router, and my almost completed desktop. I have lots of room in the built in outlets for future expansion of my workstation. Highly recommend this product for people with computers or if you just want general protection for your TV, Video game, etc.. This is my first time with this company. NOTE: You must charge your battery for 8 hours before use, you can use it while its charging but I wouldn't recommend it. But that,s your call. Shipping was very good (even though it was raining and whoever placed the package into a plastic bag didn't tie it properly.. but it is in working condition and it didn't get soaked.)Update: 8/18/13I went away for vacation for a week and when I came back, My computer wont turn on, I checked and noticed the ups was off and I left the ups running for a whole week when I was gone. I tried turning it back on and it wont. I called Cyber-power tech support and followed the steps he told me. I pressed and held the power button for 5 seconds as he requested and it still did not turn on. So he sent me a email and I have to provide the information and the invoice for the return shipping label free of charge and when they received it, they will send me a new one at no cost. 5/5 tech support right there. So now I have to use my laptop in the mean time while I wait. But I'm still wondering how and why my ups was off and why it didn't turn back on.Update 9/10/13After all the wait, I emailed cyberpower and they said that they were doing their biannual inventory check and all orders in and out were frozen. I didn't mind but Id wish they would have sent me a email letting me know. But hey the replacement came and I received 2 cyberpower units, which ill keep the extra one as a spare. I'm loving the replacement so far and no Issues has arisen ever since. Thank you Cyberpower! Looking forward to doing business with you in the future.
