We have two Silkie Terriers with long beautiful non-shedding coats, that need grooming often. Even though I brush them every other day, they still seem to have tons of tangles and knots. And with the warmer weather these days they have both been itchy more frequently.That's what brought me to Amazon and my searching began. I wanted something affordable that wasn't loaded with all kinds of harsh ingredients. After an extensive search, I came across this spray and decided to give it a try.As soon as it arrived I used this spray on our little Gidget. She's a baby still that loves rolling around in the grass and playing in her water bowl. This spray was so helpful in detangling and softening her fur. She also didn't mind me spraying it directly on her fur. She smelt so good and her fur looked so much healthier.I later used it on her brother Ernie to help soften his fur, and soothe his itchy skin. He on the other hand didn't like me spraying it near his neck or head. So like some of the other reviews stated I had to spray into my hand and rub it on him from the neck up.This product worked wonderfully with detangling and softening their fur, the light almond scent smells good, and the soothing benefits of the spray seem to be working as my pups don't seem to be itching as much. The manufacturer is well-known for his hair products for humans and I've used them often over the years and love them.I will buy this product again and have already recommended it to friends for their pups. For the price and the benefits of the product, it's a must-buy for your pups.

Love this!! It works great on our pups. Smells of oatmeal but not too strong and leaves their fur so soft. Helps with brushing too.

This product actually works well as a leave in detanglier, conditioner, and moisturizer. With my Goldens, tangles are a constant issue on legs and behind ears. Works very much like spray detangler for kids. No more fits to get tangles out, spray, rub it in, brush. Really no scent. They feel so soft and luxurious.With 3 to do, it has to work the first time. Definetly recommend for dry and wet hair. Seems to be less "golden glitter", aka hair, blowing across the tile and itching from dry skin. They swim most days in the summer and air dry back to soft and fluffy.

I’ve used John Paul Pet products with my previous dogs, but my Labradoodle puppy Zouzou has a coat with different issues than I’ve experienced before. Her wiry coat gets quite dry & had started to form mats as it grew in. Frequent brushes with this conditioning spray have been a game-changer. She smells great, is a delight to pet, no matting, and I even think mud and dirt cling to her less after her five million trips outdoors every day to gallop and bark at the birds 🤣. Great product!

I'm a dog sitter and many of my clients have complained their dog, their best friend, has dry skin that itches and produces flakes and they don't know what to do, so I did a lot of research looking for a natural product that could help..Recently a thirteen year old dog stay with us, and his skin was very dry and in bad shape. He had very large flakes and was itchy. A week after using this, (making sure the product got down to his skin and not just his hair) and his skin was much better shape. I'd estimate his flakes had reduced by half. His coat was also much softer and easier to brush.Yesterday I had a puppy whose owner expressed she was at a loss at how to help her pup's dry skin. She said the vet gave her a medicated shampoo to use weekly, but it hadn't stopped her itch inbetween. I showed her this product, and asked if she'd like me to apply it during the pups stay to see if it provided relieved. She said yes. So the first sign of itching and nibbling on her skin, I applied the spray. I watched her closely and was surprised and impressed that she didn't itch the remainder of the day.I apply this spray to my own pup every few days, but not because she has dry skin and itches, just because it makes her coat soft and SHINY! And it smells good lol.With other sprays I've used, the dogs have FREAKED out when I sprayed and I had to switch to applying to my hand and then rubbing in, but surprisingly not one dog has minded it being spraying directly on them. The manufacturer did a really good job designing a quiet spray bottle that goes on evenly. I do always rub it in around with my hands or a brush afterwards, as the instructions say to.I am pleasantly surprised by this product and thankful for all the reviews that encouraged me to try this product. This product does seem to work and has been good so far for our sensitive, elderly dog, but I have had a lot of difficulty getting the spray nozzle to depress correctly leading to problems getting the spray stream to be consistent. Sometimes you press it and don’t get anything and sometimes it’s a full spray.The stuff itself smells just like oatmeal and is a light scent that’s pretty inoffensive. I have been spraying it in my hands and working it into my dogs coat.

Our cat has dry, itchy skin from winter. It was to the point of him pulling out his fur. This stuff works great. Almost immediately, we noticed a change. The very first day we applied it he cut down his obsessive licking and hair pulling by about 75%. Day three and we do not see him pulling out his fur anymore at all. I know there are others out there dealing with the same issues we are with the hair pulling, so one more suggestion: onesies. We also purchased some dog/cat onesies to put on to prevent the fur pulling. We really don’t need to use them anymore because this spray worked so well, but we do put one on at night when we can’t watch him just in case. One more note about the smell. It has a very light almond scent which is very nice. It is not overpowering at all.

Da ich direkt an Feldern wohne, sind immer diverse Grannen im Fell, die sich nur mit viel Gefummelt entfernen ließen. Das Spray hat einen angenehmen Duft, findet anscheinend auch der Hund und die Grannen fallen zum Teil schon beim streicheln aus dem Fell. Werde gleich noch eine Flasche bestellen.

This is amazing. My little dog has dry and itchy skin.( has been vet checked ,,skin issue only) I spray this on his brush everyday as I brush him. I also spray some in my hands and massage into his skin. It smells amazing, a soft almond scent. Not overpowering. His fur is so soft, and best of all no itching and improvement on flaky skin. Highly recommend❤️
