I grow a garden on my roof, but unfortunately my roof is jet black all around. I lay tarps down to provide a different color under the plants other than black in the scorching sun. This worked really well. I think I should have looked to see if they carried it in white though instead, but that was my own lesson learned.The grey does reflect some light, similar to a mirror but muted. It DOES greatly reduce the amount of heat it absorbs throughout the day in full sun on the roof. Despite being in sun for 12 hours a day through the blistering heat, it held up really well this year. I'd say in comparison to the other cheaper tarps I've bought, which last me about 2-3 years, this one will probably double the life-expectancy just based on the wear and tear I've seen on it this year. I'm quite pleased.The seems were well sewn, the grommets were in place as advertised. I don't use the grommets, however, in the other tarps from the abuse of beating sun, blistering heat and high winds and being walked on by my son and I while gardening, the grommets always fall out. These show no sign of that happening yet. Very sturdy.Everything as advertised, and overall good purchase. Thanks a lot.

Tarp has lasted 3 years on the roof on my shop we get over 50mph winds with heavy rain it’s torn on one side but still holding on.

So I've been restocking my camping gear and purchased a new 9 person family tent and needed a ground tarp for it so I looked at a few and settled on this one primarily because it was brown and I can't stand the blue tarps...Anyways enough about my extremely high fashion taste in camping tarps.This tarp performed as expected and then some. First, it was way bigger than I expected, I guess I was overcompensating for something when I got this replica of the Santa Maria's main sail in tarp form. It is thicker than the average run of the mil blue tarps, the it has a silver backside which proved useful when we packed up the tent and switched to some hammock camping.For being outdoors for a week in some pretty average high mountain camping here in the Rockies it weathered it all. Torrential summer showers, high winds, my fat butt laying on it, being tied tightly as a sun shade in the harsh glare of the Colorado summer UVs, and being used as a ground cover for the tent.It cleaned up nicely, folded easily, and survived a week of me trying it out in preparation of taking the kiddos and pups out with it.

I used these to cover bales of wheat straw used in a dog sport I participate in with my dog. It is durable. The only problem I had was related to my fault. I bought these thinking 4 combined with 4 I had bought earlier would cover the bales, which they did. The bales were stacked 2 high and 4 wide. You can not stack bales so there is absolutely no small gap between some of them. During a rain storm the weight of the water caused them to sink in the gaps. The tarps did not break but a second storm caused more weight and they slipped down enough to allow water to run off the tarps onto the edges of the bales ruining several of them. I ended up buying a single tarp 32 X 40 to cover my bales.If you are using these to cover a single solid surface they will work. If you are covering a surface that is made up of several items buy one large enough to cover the entire item.
