This kit comes with cross stitch needles, not embroidery needles. This is important because cross stitch needles are blunt and aren't meant to go through fabric. They are supposed to go through the small holes in cross stitch cloth. I MANAGED to get these needles through the loose cloth this kit came with, but even that was difficult. They certainly won't go though normal fabric. This should not be marketed as a beginner embroidery kit if it doesn't even come with embroidery needles.

I highly recommend this for beginners. The floss is okay quality and the numbers match DMC numbers. The aida included is 11 count which is not my favorite, but I used it to test dying methods. I'm happy with the purchase overall.

So many of these kits are very similar, but I’m so glad I kept comparing them and reading the reviews ultimately going with this one! There truly are over 100 different colors of thread, I only had a few that were doubled (but I didn’t mind that). It had everything it said it would, and everything is in great shape. I wish they would choose another color for the carrying bag other than bright orange and that it was just more aesthetic in general, but otherwise I am so beyond happy with all the new goodies I have for cross-stitching. Highly recommend for beginners who are ready to move beyond pre-made kits.

This is a great set to get started. Came with a basic version of everything you need to start working. The only thing you might need that is not included is a pattern, although I just winged it without references as I am doing a very basic design.The quality of the materials is definitely on the cheaper side but it’ll do for a beginners in a new club/class. The cloth is stiff and easy to spot the holes in.The only negative thing I will say is that the zipper on the little orange bag broke when I first tried to close it but it was probably my fault for being too rough. I didn’t realize the zipper did not have a blocker at the end and it just ran right off. I would still buy this again as it was exactly what I needed to get started and I am already well into my first project.

I have been wanting to learn how to do embroidery for quite some time. This kit was recommended to me and I am so glad I followed up on it. It has everything I needed to try my hand at embroidery. It wasn't too hard to learn and now I feel confident in my next design.

This is a great kit. It comes with literally everything you need. I would highly recommend for beginners. Great thread colors too!

Huge set for the price! Every color imaginable and everything you need to get going! Great gift for my 11 year old niece that I’ve been teaching to embroider. Only downside is the fabric provided, it’s of poor quality so I swapped it for some better.

The kit itself is nice, but the hoops SUCK! They are crappy quality and I can't even get the adia to be snug in them cause they are uneven and don't fit together snug. I would not suggest this kit. Find one with better hoops.
