Live Clear Dry Cat Food has made a real difference for my husband's cat’s allergies. She loves the taste. It’s a game changer for pet owners who need a healthier, cleaner option for their cats. I was worried I would have to get rid of her and she can't go outside with the coyotes. But this saved our family!

I've had plenty of cats and kittens on Purina Pro Plan Liveclear dry food. I've noticed that the adults and kittens love the kitten food more than the adult but it's also higher in calories and fats so adult cats really shouldn't be eating kitten food for an extended length of time unless your adult female is pregnant and/or nursing or if your veterinarian advises you to do so.Purina has many different dry food options including many different Purina Pro Plan sub-types and many of them are not of the same quality as others. Purina Pro Plan LiveClear is their highest grade dry good available with a veterinarian's prescription. It IS also the most expensive but because it's the only dry food I've ever found that ALL of my cats like, I'm willing to pay a little extra so that I don't have to get numerous different types of food for different cats.The LiveClear's claim to lower your cat's allergens is fairly new. I started seeing it within the last few years or so. Before that, they had the same food but it didn't have that claim. I've been using this food for 8 years and haven't ever had a cat that didn't like it. As far as the lower allergen claim goes, I don't notice a difference. It's hard to tell since my boyfriend has a pollen and grass allergy as well as a cat allergy so I don't know if we'd notice if there was a difference in the amount of allergens released in their saliva and dander.This Particular line of Purina's comes in a variety of flavor options. For the most part I get them the Chicken and Rice but I've also tried the Salmon and they seemed to be just as happy. I DID notice a difference in the size of the round pieces of dry food when comparing the chicken and salmon. The Chicken and Rice Adult dry food has round thicker pieces and the salmon flavor is round and almost flat. The size and weight of the bags are the same but the individual pieces are slightly different. I suppose it's possible that Purina is in the process of changing the size of all of the LiveClear food pieces and one of the bags I got was with their new size and the other bag was with their previous size. Both bags were fresh.If your cat has health problems that cause him/her to need dry food that s geared towards Kidney problems, urinary tract, sensitive stomach, etc. Purina Pro Plan also makes dry food for such health issues and they also have prescription food for specific health issues which you can ask your Veterinarian about.

This food is amazing, I notice the difference when we feed my car any other food. I have pretty severe allergies to cats and get hives easily but this food (in conjunction with allergy immunotherapy) allows me to live happily with my cat.

I have severe cat allergies and never thought I could own one. This allows me to cuddle and kiss my cat with very minimal symptoms. I used to swell up and get hives and now the only time I have a reaction is if he scratches me. I can't recommend this enough

Surprisingly it actually works! I would say it take about a month or two for it to start taking affect. It's a little pricy but the purpose of it is very affective. It kept my cats healthy and clean too.

This works. My grandson moved in with me—and my two cats. He had the sniffles all of the time; if one of the cats came too close, he had a sneezing fit. A month into changing over to this food, he is clear of all symptoms. Amazing! And yes, my cats love it, too.

My two 9-year old cats who are usually fed Blue Buffalo dry food gobbled this up the first time I served it. I still had some of the previous dry food in stock so mixed it 50/50 after that first day. After 45 days we introduced my very-allergic (breaks into hives) boyfriend to the household. Six months later and we're still happily living together; he only occasionally gets a stuffy nose, or watery eyes if he smooshes his face into them. Trust the science!

I started feeding this to my cats 1 month before I moved in with my now husband who has a mild cat allergy. He loves our kitties so much, but he couldn’t hold or pet them without getting itchy. That’s no longer a problem!I started by feeding each cat 1/4 of a cup daily through their auto feeders and cut back to 1/8 of a cup after a few months. It has high protein for a dry food, which is great, but use it as a supplement purely for the allergen reduction benefits. Their diet primarily consists of wet food so they stay properly hydrated. If this is the only thing you’re feeding your cats, please mix with water so they don’t get dehydrated.It took about a month to see any allergy benefits in our case, so don’t expect instant results. The results could vary depending on the cat and the severity of the person’s allergy.As far as the taste, my cats love it a little too much. I use individual morsels as treats too.It’s a bit pricey, but it works! You can offset the cost by determining the minimum amount you need to feed them in conjunction with their regular diet to see benefits.
